The room was clean and comfortable with a great view. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They have their own parking lot. Security monitors the resort and parking creating a safe environment. There are resort kitties which was a nice surprise. They had live music every night and a great view from the swim up bar at the pool. I would highly recommend Bougainvillea.

There is one restaurant on the property so I recommend exploring outside. Staff give good recommendations for that. Beach was overrun with seaweed. That was the only disappointing part.

Property was extremely clean. The room had some minor issues like the bathroom sinks weren’t properly vented so it smelled like sewage when you ran the water. There was definitely some patchwork done on the walls. The TV in the bedroom did not have any channels and for some reason the AC unit and the bedroom did not get as cool as the AC unit in the living room, but there was a ceiling fan so we survived. The staff was extremely friendly. We did not use any of the pools, but they looked beautiful. The restaurants were mediocre so we mostly off property. The private beach was nice however there was a lot of seaweed. I would highly recommend making the trip to Savvy On the Bay if you want calm, clear water with no seaweed.

We visited Barbados for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary and loved everything about our stay at Bougainvillea. The beachfront location, service, amenities, location, etc. were all incredible. We used public transportation the whole time and were within a 10-15 minute ZR bus ride of almost every major point of interest we wanted to visit (the Oistins fish market, west coast beaches, catamaran launch sites, and fine restaurants). The hotel’s well-maintained beach, water activities, live entertainment, etc. made our whole stay here remarkable.

This is a true relaxing oasis. The staff is nice and helpful. The rooms are not luxury however if you are staying in the ground floor with the pool walk out you will appreciate it. Maintenance should tend to the small roaches in the room/bathroom. This hotel is near a lot of activities as well. Great for solo family or intimate trips.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Breakfast buffet can use some improvement I would only recommend the first morning only.ocean view is beautiful!

Our room was great, clean and modern finishings. The pools were a little disappointing, there are three advertised however one is a kiddie pool and the other is for guests 16 and up only so we were confined to one pool the entire time (my daughter is 14) and it's only chest deep. The hotel has good parking, all the cleaning staff were wonderful, same with the restaurant staff. The food could be a little better for the price, it was still good, but just good and highly expensive. The property and area is quite safe, very clean beach and the nightly entertainment was very good.

Lovely hotel , lovely staff , area a little bit isolated but very easy to walk

I just came home from this resort. I’m in love. Already planning a girls trip here before the year is out. The rooms were just right. Comfortable and clean. And those patio doors blocking the mighty sound of those waves. It’s an excellent spot. I’m so happy I found it.

Property was nice

I would liked a complimentary coffee stand, or somewhere to get coffee from through out the day and not just at the restaurant. Otherwise my stay was fantastic and the staff was really friendly. Basil does excellent job with the grounds and all the beautiful flowers..Jose, who prepared our drinks was friendly and awesome as well. Front desk was lovely and helpful, and and I absolutely loved everything about the rooms ...I truly enjoyed my stay there and hope to return sometime in the future.

Nice place and was not cheap. I wouldn’t recommend going here and here is why. The location is not convenient to walk to much at all. The restaurant Calabash was a joke. Staff was very unfriendly and prices were ridiculous for what you got. You could walk the beach to another restaurant but same, not good food. The restaurant that sits right on the beach has these rules that are ridiculous for the area. We sat there and watched them turn people away. You cannot have a wet suit on to go in and eat, have to have a shirt in and other silly rules. You are steps from the water and cannot grab something when hungry. No fun good music during the day made the pool bar very lame. They had what seems to be one speaker of odd music going and only the bartenders could hear it. How hard is it to play beach music at the beach and pool for people to enjoy. Beach was very nice and loungers were nice. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms very updated. Staff all around was not friendly. We had four flights of steps to walk up and down to our room, no elevator which we are fine with but carrying luggage wasn’t the best time. Front desk ladies were only ones that were nice. We moved to LeRoy right down the street our last four days and had the best time. Much cheaper place, location was amazing and staff was helpful. Bouganvillea was very pretty but isolated.
