The staff at the front desk were very friendly and the hotel is right off the ocean.

The cleanliness of the rooms and the amazing reception staff.

The room was very clean, had everything to cook (hot plate, pans, dinnerware), make breakfast (toaster, coffee appliances). The ocean view was incredible. The Gap is a lively place at night, but in the oceanfront rooms with the bathroom door closed you can not hear the music at night, I hear this is not the case for some rooms near the street. The restaurant food was great, we ate there 4-5 times. (Thanks Alisha/Kadeem)! The bar staff (Hi Ricky, Nick, Amall, Kyle) were so nice. We even got to taste homemade Conkies from Independence Day (so good), thanks Kyle and his mom). The pool is great and there were places in Sun or shade as I prefer, and at night the sunset is beautiful and the lighting is fantastic and welcoming (well the sunrises from the room view were nice too). There a bathroom off the restaurant with shower and books from travellers. All the maintenance staff and front desk were always so polite and nice as well. The paint was spotless and all is renovated with thoughtful and modern design.

Everything about this property has been perfect. The staff Shareka at the front desk was informative and Lana from housekeeping was superb. I would recommending staying here and if you do decide staying get the ocean view as it’s breath taking. The upkeep of the property was great, everyday the staff cleans which I loved to see. The location was great, especially if you are looking for dancing and food. Thank you team and if I had to visit I would definitely stay at the South Gap again.

The hotel was in a great location. It was a 5 minute walk to Dover beach which was lovely. The rooms were clean but the twin beds were very uncomfortable. If booking here, definitely try a room with a king bed. The food was great. The drinks were also very good. The staff at the front desk and the room attendants were friendly, however, the young lady along with her male shift partner at the bar/restaurant did not leave a great impression. I believe this may have been due to her making an error on the final bill where the drinks were over charged. She became indignant when pointed out to her. Although the bill was corrected, for the rest of the stay, she avoided eye contact and it was apparent that she did not want any further interactions with us. This made going to the restaurant uncomfortable and therefore we chose to eat elsewhere for the remainder of our stay. Non Smokers: This hotel states they have a zero toerance for smoking in the rooms or on the balconies and if caught a $250.00 fine would be charged to the customer. This policy does not seem to be enforced. It was frustrating having someone smoking on their balcony several times throughout the night and early morning hours - the smoke reeling directly into your room when trying to enjoy the ocean breeze. Although reported to security, and the front desk on more than one occasion- the smoking continued. Honestly, this is the main reason for a 3 star review. Otherwise, I would have rated the hotel 4 stars.

Friendly staff with excellent customer service, newly remodeled rooms with kitchenette all with ocean views, well maintained pool area. Best part...location. walking distance to restaurants and bars!

The view from the balcony was extraordinary. School was very good.

Absolutely fantastic ! We loved watching the sunset from our sun beds, the staff all Amazing , couldn’t fault a thing , if (rather when) we return to Barbados we would choose this hotel again ! Thankyou south gap !

The Staff members were very pleasant & polite. The room was clean and modern. Only critique the bed was too hard for my lucking. The restaurant workers, housekeeping & front desk staff were all professional and accommodating. Great location on the Gap in the middle of all the action and a short walk to 2 different beaches. Love, Love.

Beautiful hotel great staff

Amazing, friendly and helpful staff made the stay incredible. Room was fantastic with great view of the ocean. Pool was clean and not busy at all. Lots around the area to do, and quick bus down to Carlisle Bay

Great place to stay. The pictures don't really do it justice. We were in the 1 bed studio. Staff very friendly and in a great location. Only thing to fix is the coordination between the restaurant and front desk when they chase for card payment even though they have your card on file.

The Gap was a beautiful place to stay, the view, the food was excellent!! Thanks a lot to the staffs for making us feel welcome.

The room was spotless, staff were courteous and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
