Staff was very welcoming and hospitable, all the amenities seemed very up to date, and the restaurant food was very good! The pool was closed for a couple days and they issued food credit per person, they also have happy hour 2 for 1 drinks twice a day. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Barbados!

Great location ,Everything was great but the seaweed ocean…had to go the west coast everyday…cause all the beaches around the area of the hotel had so much seaweed…nothing they can control but around hurricane season they said it always gets like this…overall great place and good staff

This was my third stay at the property, and I continue to be impressed. The location is excellent — with plenty to explore within walking distance — and the hotel keeps evolving. On each visit, I’ve noticed thoughtful updates; this time, I particularly liked the redesigned reception waiting area and the refreshed layout of the bar. The rooms remain as comfortable and well-maintained as ever. It’s also one of the few hotels I’ve stayed in that offers a welcome drink and a discount at their restaurant — a small gesture that makes a big difference. The food was outstanding, with a wide range of options from local dishes to international favourites. The hotel is family-friendly, well-located, and consistently delivers on service and comfort. I’ll definitely be returning.

Beautiful, clean and affordable hotel, right in the middle of St Lawrence Gap. Pool area and restaurants was amazing.

We stayed at South Gap for 3 days after 2 weeks in the north of the island, looking to wind down before we flew home. Having stayed at several venues in previous years, South Gap Hotel is by far the best we've found. We had a lovely, relaxing few days, have already booked again for the same period in 2026 and can't wait to enjoy the facilities again.

I had a great experience at SGH. The hospitality was second to none. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. The property is neat and well maintained. I will be back sooner than later.

Receptionist areamazin in that hotel. Staff at the restaurant need more costumer service training!! They seems angry and always asking for tip even though is 12 %added to the bill.

1. Never had any USD 2. Got a 10% off on dinners but waitress conveniently forgets it on tab 3. Reception tried to charge us more money at pay at property when it should be 17 and some change usd as per Expedia 4. Food wait time was long. 5. Breakfast food is basic ... overall menu options limited. Everything else was good.

10 out of 10 I definitely recommend. I am a Barbados citizen by descendent and go there often. I’ve stayed at South Gap once before, but this just might be my regular hotel. The staff is amazing, Tia and Sharika, Edward and every staff member were super friendly and extremely helpful and very personable! Thanks again! The hotel is spotless. The Sister that cleaned our room was phenomenal and so down to earth, thanks again Sis. The only drawback is I so wish that I could walk from my room into the beach, but a short walk down the gap and you are at the beach. My bday was celebrated with style and grace and the bottle of wine was well appreciated..thanks again South Gap…until next time! 😘
