Highly recommended! Hotel is clean and comfortable with spacious room. The light can be brighter though and it is a little bit inconvenient for the elderly to mount the step to go to the bathroom and toilet. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and very responsive even before my arrival to help me receive several books I ordered online. They had the room all set up and placed my books in when I arrived. what a surprise! The lady in the breakfast area warmly welcomed us every morning and made sure we had things needed. The breakfast choice can be richer, but eating while enjoying the riverside morning is a pleasure. Happy stay in summary and thanks.

We stayed for two days and there was an unpleasant smell in the corridor and there was noise from the room above which affected our sleep.

Have to walk up and down stairs to side block. I have wait for over 20 mins to have someone come out to front desk to check out for me but he use another half hour to fix my bill. Not a happy experience especially I have to stand with my walking stick

Gorgeous small hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, stylish modern decor and furnishings, well equipped bedrooms with very comfortable beds, a heated swimming pool, opposite the river and in the heart of the city just a few minutes walk from the castle, cathedral, butchers hall and a wide range of bars and restaurants. What more could you ask?

Really nice hotel with friendly and professional staff. The room was stunning and had a fabulous view of Ghent and was very clean. Highly recommended. Superb location for the city centre and restaurants. Beware: if you are driving you need to pre-register your car with Ghent city for clean air emissions. It is free to register but you will get fined 150 euros if you don't do it within 24 hours of arrival. We found it easy to do if you have the full information on your car (contained on your v5c, or I managed to do with the help of dvlc website, checking MOT info and a google search for the rest. You need to check out let.gent.

Staff were really polite and helpful, especially the gentleman who checked us into the hotel. The hotel is nice and clean and facilities are excellent in the hotel and the rooms. Unfortunately the only downside was our tea, coffee and water wasn't stocked up properly so we could not have tea.

This is my second stay of this Hotel I was impressed the first time, I had a great room which was at the back of the building, it was large and quiet. But sadly on this occasion my room wasn't as half as good. There was a constant humming and it wasn't my AC particularly noticeable at nights. The room itself was spacious and nicely decorated with good furniture. Couple of things really bothered me on this occasion one was I received a text message to say you can check in early at a cost of €25 which for a repeat customer and someone who travelled a long way this should've been free of charge as a courtesy. And the other message was for another €25 for a breakfast buffet which is well overpriced maybe for a cooked breakfast but not for a buffet.

This hotel was very clean, the hotel staff members were kind especially the kitchen members, and the location was amazing. Their breakfast had lots of choices and were tasty as well.

Kaunis hotelli joen rannalla, sisältä siisti ja palvelualtis henkilökunta. Valitettavasti huoneen valaistus oli on/off joka kieltämättä hankaloitti illan ja yön liikkumista. Lisäksi huoneen lämmönsäätely ei reagoinut millään tavalla säätöyrityksiin.

Beautiful room with a small terrace overlooking the canal. Very quiet, even though it is central to the main square and on the canal. Very cheerful and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable with a big shower and even a toilet that washes you with warm water which was a first for me! We will definitely stay here when we are in Ghent again.

Very comfortable, excellent location, parked our car and walked everywhere. We used the tram to get to the train and took the train to Bruges for the day. The staff had great recommendations for eating and all were a 2-5 minute walk.

Fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. The room was large and very comfortable. Staff were excellent. It’s an old classic building so you could here a little noise from the rooms above.
