I booked a room with a view on the city but I got one with a view on the garden which desperately needs to be cleaned. Besides that it said that the room was sound proof. I wish I could insert a video because I got woken up by people having intercourse. Which was very annoying because I couldnt sleep the whole the night. And later on the staff in the morning because they were grabbing stuff downstairs. the doors are way too thin so you can hear everything. Besides that the room had a funky smell. It kind of smelled like mold. I saw that they also had painted over some water damage in the room I was staying. In the general area, the carpet desperately needs to be cleaned because its full of stains and holes. Knowing Belgians they probably wont do that because they hate to renovate. Please avoid this place!

The images of this hotel do not match its current state of (dis)repair.
We had a basement room (yes, there are rooms down a dark musty stairwell with torn up carpeting.) The room itself wasn't too bad, but the hallways and exterior of the property are in really bad shape. Would not ever consider staying there again.

A good basic hotel. However, as the hotel does not have air conditioning I would avoid it during hot summer months. Furhtermore, the textiles in the room and walls in the shower would benefit from a good cleaning.

Cela fait quelques années que je viens dans ce petit hôtel très bien situé à Ixelles , que j’appréciais à chaque séjour, les jeunes femmes à l’accueil sont charmantes en revanche le niveau de qualité global s’est vraiment dégradé. Il nécessiterait une rénovation.
Salle de douche parfaitement ordinaire , on ne sait pas d’où viennent les produits savon liquide, le plateau de courtoise date de mathusalem, la TV propose très peu de chaînes , l’ascenseur etait en panne, et les conditions de Check in 16 H et check out 11H drastiques, très déçue, seule la vue sur les jardins des maisons alentours était agréable, je laisse rarement d’appréciations, désolée pour cet avis très mitigé !

Rent og lille værelse i kælderen, flink og imødekommende personale. 3 minutters Gang til butikker, caféer og spisesteder i begge retninger. 5-6 minutter til metroen. 3 minutter til bus.
Liggende i et kuperet område, pænt og roligt kvarter.

Overpriced hotel. While for a similar rate some hotels offer a good service and have a nice atmosphere... I arrived in a room with an open window (great at midnight in February)... The "decoration" of the rooms is quite old and gloomy: I ended up in a room "Cocoa" (or sthg alike) decorated with... simili-chocolats sticked on the walls. Disgusting. Overall, very expensive for a hotel of that quality in Brussels.

Une odeur pestilentielle d'égout dans la chambre impossible à faire disparaitre meme en aerant. A ma demande, le réceptionniste a bien constaté le fait mais ne m'a pas proposé le changement de chambre car l'hôtel était apparemment complet. La seule proposé a été une bombe désodorisante mais Inefficace pour faire disparaitre cette odeur. J'ai donc dû dormir dans cette odeur car il était trop tard pour changer d'hôtel. J'ai reparlé du problème a un autre réceptionniste le lendemain matin. Il a paru désolé et a pris mon adresse email en me disant qu'il reviendrai vers moi. Au bout de 3 jours j'attends toujours ! Je constate qu'aucune ristourne, dédommagement ou geste commercial ne m'a été proposé en compensation du préjudice. Pas même un petit déjeuner ou un café. Nul . Hôtel à éviter, notamment au regard de sa gestion des problèmes...

The customer service was 10/10 and I like the choices for the breakfast menu. However my room was smelling due to the drain. I think the windows have not been opened for a long time as well.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable.
My room was on the basemrnt, down a fairly steep stairway. The stzircarpet was in very bad condition, threadbare and full of holes. I didn't feel it was safe. Fortunatley there was a lift. We didn't eat breakfast and wouldn't have done as food was left uncovered for hours.
