We enjoyed our stay at Helms Inn. It is very conveniently located at the edge of Beacon Hill Park on Douglas Ave. We walked everywhere. The property has an older style to it. It is charming. We were pleasantly surprised to find our room was completely updated and very spacious. The staff was very friendly and the front desk is open 24 hours. I would stay here again.

This is a great place to stay. It is across the street from Beacon Hill park and a couple blocks from the Empress hotel to catch the hop on hop off bus. Place was clean, staff were very helpful. Had a kitchenette and parking was $10 a night. Hideabed couch was comfy. Will stay here again.

Our favorite place to stay in Victoria. Feels like home with kitchenette, refrigerator and sitting area. Very spacious, clean and a comfy bed. Location is quiet and within walking distance of anything downtown. Also, close to public transit. A grocery store nearby. Love it.

Location was excellent kitty corner to Beacon Hill Park and a block from the rear of the Empress Hotel and two blocks from the Inner Harbour. the hotel was clean, our bed was very comfortable and the staff were great. The parking at $10 per day was more than reasonable but it is tight. The only thing on a negative slant would be that it is not sound proof but overall that really would not stop us from a second stay

Great amenities for a longer stay. My windows overlooked the side street so the noise at night was fine. Great black out curtains. Fan was helpful as there was no air conditioning. It was vey breezy and this was all we needed.

This is about our tenth year to stay at the Helms. It's a well-situated hotel steps away from the BC provincial museum and on the edge of James Bay. Love the inner courtyard. We have always found the staff helpful and I don't think a year has gone by we haven't seen some form of maintenance going on to retain the property's value. The only downside is .... book early! It is that popular. You do not want to wait too long. Rod Link
