Room overlooked a major vehicle thoroughfare - Douglas Street - and there was
much traffic noise from cars,trucks and buses, not to mention that the room also
overlooked a four-way traffic stop which resulted in traffic stopping and starting.
Also, an old fridge adjoining the bedroom make a loud humming noise solved by
pulling out the electrical plug to stop it.
The air conditioner did not work.
The walls were poorly insulated - could hear footsteps and voices from the floor above from other guests moving in.
The desk clerk was apologetic and offered a discount on the room charge which
was appreciated.

The reason for the higher rating is because of the excellent location. Everything within walking distance. Gorgeous park right across the street. Staff was not very friendly upon check in. When I first saw the room, I wasnt impressed, but it sorta grew on me. One thing that concerned me is that I had a ground floor room and the windows facing the street did not lock. The air conditioning was pretty noisy, but did the job. But the room was very clean and it was nice to have a suite with amenities. I'd probably stay there again, but only because of the location.
