Helms Inn

We loved the fact that there were no carpets in the rooms. It was extremely clean. The staff replaced our towels, even though they had minimal staff during Christmas holidays. Everyone was really friendly, attentive and helpful.

Comfortable stay, the kitchen had everything we needed.

The room was very spacious! We enjoyed the large kitchen and living room, and that there was a separated bedroom area with the two double beds. The mini-balcony space was cute too, with some welcoming birds chirping away.

It was nice to have a kitchen in the room. The beds were really squeaky but not uncomfortable. I requested the top floor and was quickly accommodated by Jordan, which was really great! This was our first Christmas away from home and we're happy we were staying at this great little Inn.

Rooms was spacious and nice and clean. Was very comfortable for 4 people.

Place was accessible especially roaming around downtown. Would be great if there’s more selection of tea inside , slippers , we need to ask room cleaning service, hearing noise from upst and no limited selection of apps on tv.

Great place to stay and near everything. Would definitely stay here again.

There is not enough parking for the spots they sell. We ended up parking in the loading zone.

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet and the temperature was comfortable. We were only there for one night but no regrets! One note is that the walls are somewhat thin - we could hear our neighbours but thankfully they were quiet.

I use a walker and cane all the time, somehow on this booking i must have forgotten to ask for a groundfloor room. They had booked us on the 3rd floor and the best they could do was give me room 203 ( appreciated at the time)telling me there is a path up to the 2nd floor. (or Take the stairs) Well, i think they need to try this out themselves. With a walker you have to proceed up a pretty steep ramp (exhausting), up another smaller slope and past the reception area, you arrive at the door - there are 2 doors you have to manipulate with a walker and it is impossible if you are alone . You open the outer door and in order to open the inner door which opens outwards - which is where you are now standing with your walker in order to proceed into the building - but there is no room for your walker as you try to open the inner door. We stay there several times a year and if i book 7 months ahead the response is always the ssame that there are no ground floors available and they have 3 buildings No matter how far you book ahead, always the same response- very disappointed with their booking proceedures
