Great location, and a hotel with lots of character. Staff were helpful, courteous, prompt. Room was large, bed comfortable. Couple things in the room needed some fix-up (for instance, couldn't turn the switch on the bedside lamp--had to unplug it to turn it off), and it helps if you don't mind doing some stairs (elevator is slow and small). But maybe that's all part of the charm of the place. I'll be back.

The room was minimalist but beautiful. The main drawback was the layout: our room was several hundred yards from the front desk, so any request required deciding whether it was worth the long walk. The refrigerator did not work; maintenance acknowledged the issue and said it would be replaced but never did.
Front desk staff were polite but not particularly helpful, while the corridor staff were exceptional. The canteen/gift shop was overpriced and had a limited selection.
We dined at the restaurant, which was excellent—I highly recommend it. The location is also very central. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, I would return to this hotel.

Very helpful, friendly and attentive staff. The location is absolutely brilliant - close to major shopping, food, chemist, cultural sights and transport. The Moda Hotel also has a fantastic Italian restaurant, cocktail bar and superb sports bar right on site! We loved it! The bed is very comfy too and the rooms are spacious. We were very happy with our stay at The Moda and found it easy to access the airport or Canada Place (cruise ships) via the trains at the Pacific Shopping Centre only a few streets away. Great value for money too.

Photos and reviews from prior were a bit misleading. We had some questionable stains on the blinds and side chair. Wasn’t the cleanest but wasn’t the worst either

Clean hotel, friendly staff. It’s an older hotel in a convenient location downtown within walking distance to the cruise port and many restaurants. Unfortunately, since it’s downtown, the car and pedestrian traffic is very noisy into the late night.

It’s a fine room. However there were loud people on our floor that seemed to talk endlessly in the hallway…it was close to 11 I think they were finally told to move on but they chatted outside our door for a long time. We didn’t use either restaurant.
