Hotel très bien placé et bon accueil du personnel

Blue Iguana in Costa Rica was such a nice surprise. The location’s perfect—close to the action, but still relaxed. Staff were really warm and helpful, always smiling and welcoming. Food was great—fresh and delicious. Everything felt clean and comfortable. Loved the easy, laid-back feel. I’d definitely recommend and I look forward to returning!

Rustic but the beds are comfy!

We were very disappointed in the hotel. There was no hot water, the sink drains into the shower. The room was dimly lit with one light bulb. The window did not close and there were no screens, just mosquitoes. There was no working restaurant nor bar. Breakfast was yogurt and granola, opening at 8 AM. It is close to the beach. Next time I will pay a few dollars more and stay at a nice hotel.

Très rustique

The property is a real dive bomb! No hot water- unable to really close windows because there are permanant vents so you can hear the neighbors air conditioner and foreigners yammering at all hours in the courtyard. The only redeeming aspect is indeed the staff. Brian at the front desk was amazing

The bed was very comfortable and the A/C was great! It was convenient to get to the beach (1 block away) and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, they were able to book us a shuttle to the Liberia airport, etc. The room itself was small and unpleasant and I was grateful my sister had booked a nearby place that was shady and pleasant for lounging. The bathroom seemed to have a leak and therefore the bathroom floor was sopping wet.

It was good! Basic breakfast was included cofee, yogurt , cereal, there was a small menu you need to pay for! Mr Guillermo was very kind! And cooked some.chilaquiles, tacos, scrmabled eggs for the kids! (From the menu). The rooms were clean, they have a bathroom inside, not hot water and the toilet was very small and not muche toom to sit bc the dood was in front...not convenient! Specially if your sharing the room with some friends :]

Okay for the younger crowd. Room was double the price because holiday week - $120 - called ‘comfort’ room - no hot water, toilet kind of working, paper thin walls. We used to pay $20 for these rooms. Nice staff and clean enough. Beach nearby where there is a lot of action.

It's near the beach, but not on it and a short walk to downtown. With a little work it could be a nice place. Something that seems low rent is when there is no cover on the light fixture, only a bare light bulb on the ceiling. No hot water or A/C, but the room was well designed for flow through ventilation and the fan was adequate for cooling. The toilet leaked around the base which was a bit nasty when you think about it. Small rooms which is fine for one person, but would be crowded for two. All that said, I would have stayed a second night, but got a really good deal at another, much nicer hotel.

Eigentlich ein hübsches Hotel. Leider schon etwas älter und etwas vernachlässigt bei einigen kleinen Details. Ist aber im Preis berücksichtigt.

Very friendly, helpful and inviting.

The bathroom is extremely small and there is no hot water (by design). The rooms have an open cinder block along the ceiling that easily lets in bugs and noise. Also, the hotel is next to a night club that blast music through the once quiet neighborhood until 2am. People tend to meet at the hotel courtyard after the club closes.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The WIFI worked without interruptions. The shower gave cold water only and you could not sit straight on the toilet. The bathroom was too small.
