This hotel is in a great location in the heart of the city, perfect for sightseeing and surrounded by restaurants. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was comfortable but it was dark, even during the day. The lighting was more atmospheric than functional and a brighter option would be welcome then guests could choose. I think the lack of light contributed to some dusty corners being missed when cleaning, although this was surface level only and the room was essentially clean and the bathroom very clean. The room was very hot during the night with no heating control in the room, we couldn’t open the windows because of the noise people in the army hours then bin lorries, street cleaning and deliveries from around 5am. The bar was well appointed and well stocked. The reduced charge parking was very welcome, it was easy to park outside to unload luggage before going to the car park a short distance away. It was excellent value for money.

Large room. Very quiet too

Check in went well until we found someone in our room ( luckily not in a compromising position). The had been given the incorrect room. They then had to pack up and go to their correct room, whilst we had to wait for the room to be checked for us to use. We had to ask for a coffee while we waited, nothing was offered. The room was large and clean. Water bottles a nice touch, however this was only on arrival and not replaced each day. The suite had 2 steps to the door, then another 2 steps down from the bed area to the sofa area and 2 more steps in the bathroom. This was a little hazardous for overnight bathroom visits. A small light to highlight the steps would be helpful. The room had a dark decor, however the lighting switching only allowed for all on or all off. There was no option for just the bedside lamps. In the bathroom the sink was low, there was no additional light around the mirror making shaving difficult. The showerhead was low and fixed, unable to stand underneath. However the only way to turn on the shower was a red lever valve above the shower head. The water to the shower did not get quite hot enough. The towels were lovely and large, something not often found. They were necessarily changed each day , however the coffee etc and mugs were not. The hotel has a bar but please note it closes at 9pm. We found this out after coming back for a 9.30pm nightcap and being unable to get one. We were not aware of such early closing.

Lovely large room clean and very comfy. Reception staff was lovely very welcoming! Breakfast served to room was such a treat!

Great position in central Liverpool, lovely staff and rooms were gorgeous. Great value minibar & great value breakfast that you can have served in your room at no extra fee.Would definitely stay again.

Lovely rooms would recommend

Not a lot of tea, coffee and milk in the room, had to keep asking for more. The steps in the room cause inconvenience. Brilliant location, great staff, spacious airy rooms, very clean.

Superb standard of rooms with fantastic sumptuous decor. A gem in the city right on a road with all of the coolest restaurants too..staff top notch, friendly and helpful. Cannot fault this hotel and we will be back.

I booked to stay at 62 Castle Street because of its location and such reasonable rate along with having some good reviews. It states on Expedia that parking is £9 for 24 hours but I didn’t receive any communication from the hotel prior to arrival with a location of this car park (this message came through on Expedia after we had checked out) so after finding somewhere to park temporarily I was given directions to the car park by the hotel. The car park is around a 10 minute walk from the hotel so not very convenient. When we finally arrive back to the hotel to check in which by the way is the longest check in to a hotel in the UK I’ve ever known - they need to see the driving license of anyone staying in the room and take a £100 deposit for the room. But the lady that was on reception was very pleasant so made for a better experience! We booked a suite and although the room is very spacious it wasn’t very clean - lots of dust around windows ledges, on shelving and any up high areas. The air con didn’t work at all and the room was very hot when we arrived. The sofa is so uncomfortable you wouldn’t be able to spend time relaxing on it. The loud music from the place next door will keep you up until the early hours of the morning and when we woke up in the morning after a long day and evening we found there was no hot water at all to be able to take a shower or bath and as we had booked to stay in Liverpool due to our plans on that day this was very upsetting. Avoid.

A wonderful hotel in a central, walkable location in Liverpool. Very pleasant and helpful staff and beautiful room. We would definitely stay here again.

Really good place next to caffes restaurants, easy walk into town, really close to beatles, cabin clubs great .
