The hotel is very good and very well located, it just needs more attention in general, for example, the painting of the hotel and the restaurant, because everything on the menu is never there, Suggest be part of group hotel.

For the price we were surprised at what a lovely hotel it was and how friendly the staff were to everyone. Definitely recommend.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were really nicely laid out and spacious. The breakfast was really tasty and a nice variety. The only disappointment was that the head office had not correctly scheduled staff on Christmas eve and we were not able to enjoy the pool. My kids had been looking forward to using the pool so were very disappointed that they could not use especially when we had confirmed with the staff at check in when it would be open.

I've stayed here a few times now for work. Good location. Easy parking. Friendly staff - every single one of them - from reception, to bar staff, to cleaners, gym staff. Cannot fault them! Nothing is too much! Food is amazing. I am yet to bave a bad meal there. Gym and pool - both bot overly big in size - but they've never been too busy to use. This will definately be a regular for me. Ive stayed in other local - spa' hotels in Basingstoke for double the price - however i go back to the Apollo every time! Such a comfortable stay, amazing value for money and amazing showers too with good water pressure!

I arrived a day early by accident 😬 but the staff were amazing and changed my day for me which i was truly grateful for. The room was spotless with a heater, fan, iron, hairdryer, kettle etc... I had a lovely evening swim in the heated pool. I didn't eat there as i was with my 13 year old daughter so we went to the nearby shopping center for food and a mooch around but the food at the hotel smelt so nice and it looked good with a nice bar and lounge area. Would recommended and would certainly stay again 😊

Would not give me a VAT receipt after my stay which I needed to claim back as I was travelling for business. My room was fine but my colleagues room was below standard. Staff were ok. There’s a new trainee on reception who’s an absolute weapon. Wish I got her name. When I was checking out there were two police cars outside arresting someone I’m guessing was a guest at the hotel and this was at 6 in the morning!

Hairs in the bath tub and sink that weren't mine. Bottles and glasses strewn along the corridor. Really run down

Didnt know it had a spa until i got there . Bar was fine, nothing exceptional at least it was manned.

I stayed for 4 nights.I was told that they do not service the roomms during a stay unless specifically requested. I had a Studio room like a suite. There was was plenty of space in the two rooms but everyting was rather tired. I had to wrestle the curtains open and closed, there was no temperature control and the sofa was stained and grubby. The TV control had a mind of its own. I suspect the batteries were failing and the safe was broken. I had a hair raising moment, literally, when I reached into a draw and touched a live 240 volt wire. When I reported this to the front desk I was told that there should have been a hair drier in the draw and people were stealing them by pulling the power lead out and leaving the live wire in the drawer. Bearing in mind that I am seventy years old and it could have been lethal, I was not even asked if I was OK. I did not make use of the Spa, bar and restaurant so I cannot comment.
