Beware of the room you are given. My wife, myself and my 2 kids (5 and 7) were given a room that only had 1 single bed and 1 double bed. Ended up pushing the beds together so the kids didn't fall out of bed. Terrible. I tried messaging the hotel prior to arriving to query this, but messages were not replied to. Also, we stayed here last year (with a room that accommodated us), and the food last year was vastly superior. Pizza last year was rustic, and home made style. This year the pizza bases looked and tasted like ready made from Tesco. Really unpleasant.

Needs modernizing for the price, book with hotel.com don't think you will get a room near everything

Stayed here over the bank holiday as a family of 4. The hotel itself is nice and the outside space is green and relaxing. However, we were given a very hot top-floor room during 28°C weather, with no air conditioning and windows that barely opened. The fan provided did not help and none of us could sleep. This room really should not have been given to a family in such hot weather in the first place. At 2am we had to ask for another room, which meant moving tired children in the middle of the night and only getting a few hours of sleep. Staff at breakfast were also not very friendly. Overall, a disappointing stay.

This was a really mixed stay. On arrival, we had a terrible lunch in the restaurant - took ages and food wasn't good - halloumi/chicken wings overcooked to point of being burnt, tired salad in chicken baguette, kids choice didn't resemble menu description etc. Had spa/golf booked so no time to order again/find alternative. We found alternative venue for dinner after this disappointing experience. Room was shabby and bathroom had mould around taps and door needed clean (lots of dirty splashmarks.) Bar/restaurant decor also very worn out. Outside terrace was lovely in evening sunshine. But, again, area felt unloved. However, on site spa treatments and breakfast were really, really good. Proximity to golf course, Arundel and coast also great.

The staff were polite and helpful however this is my second visit and both rooms have been as equally disappointing. The hotel has great facilities such as pool/gym/golf course and is well located however the rooms are extremely tired and dated. The trip was rounded off by noticing that my bathroom was covered in what looked like sick at shoulder height along one wall. This wasn’t noticed at check in or I would have requested a change of room. The hotel is solely surviving on tradesman staying over with it location and parking, it’s in desperate need of a renovation and others in the area appear better value.

Nice welcome, good breakfast, clean room

Really nice staff, very welcoming it’s looking a little tired now in communal areas and bathroom but lovely grounds to walk around. Unfortunately our evening meal came out cold and then came back microwaved after sending it back.

Dusty room in areas. Rubbish behind bedside cabinet. Couldn’t get to plug easily to charge my phone as it was behind the cabinet and when pulled out there was thick dust and rubbish behind it. No deep clean for a long time. Dirty windows, old cobwebs around it. Pool was not in use so very disappointed as we had stayed there for this reason.

Plenty of parking and dog walks around the golf course

First appearances are good. The location is great. But everything is a bit tired. The hotel needs money spending on decoration, maintenance and a few more staff. Dinner service was glacially slow and the food quality was adequate, at best.

We did not have breakfast so can't comment but hotel was lovely and clean and the cream tea was great

Really nice settling, lovely country side. Hotel itself is desperately in need of a refurbishment. It was a nice hotel fairly clean great staff. Just very run down. I would stay again and definitely hasn’t put me off

Cooked food could have been hotter

The hotel is in DESPERATE need of refurbishment. It’s incredibly run-down. The carpets are in a state in the communal areas a bedrooms and the whole place just needs work - drafty windows, peeling paint, scruffy furniture. But the building is lovely, the rooms are spacious and they are SUPER welcoming of dogs. The fridge was missing from our room, and the swimming pool is also needing some work. The bar food is a lot of frozen stuff, and not very nice. Think Weatherspoons. Breakfast buffet is good though. So much potential there, grounds are wonderful. Location great. Just needs a good clean and decorating!

Clean room, good gym facilities, lovely grounds. Nice bar area and the restaurant was very good

Room was not very good as in creaky floor very small tv and a very noisy fridge

We have used this hotel for many years when visiting family in the area. Could be our last stay however having been kept awake past midnight by other guests slamming doors and being generaly inconsiderate.

Great stay, rooms where clean and staff were nice and helpful. I would definitely book again.
