Great room, excellent staff

This is our third visit to the Barn Annexe and we’ve also stayed in rooms at the inn. Excellent facilities, fantastic staff and food to die for. Will be back in the New Year.

Amazing room (Apartment) much better than the photos show. Room was spotless with all amenieties you could possibly need. Super fast internet which was great to keep the children entertained via the provided smart TVwhilst we unpacked etc. Upon arrival we were imediatley greeted and shown to our room. Fantastic!! Excellent food also and staff were very attentive. I highly reccomend and will be booking again. Breakfeast is also huge.

Simply, amazing amazing amazing in every way. We cannot say a bad word about this place. Thank you to the owners for making our stay so enjoyable. Top marks all round

A warm welcome, friendly staff, and a comfortable, clean room. I had pizza from the restaurant (perfect vegan mushroom & sunblushed tomatoes!) and non-alcoholic cider. More vegan options would have been good, e.g. non dairy milk, spread, or sausages for breakfast. Overall great though, would definitely recommend.

Warm welcome, great staff. Was given the Bennett room which is gorgeous and has a separate bath too! I had dinner and breakfast, both were excellent. I’ll definitely return

Everything great, staff, room, food, loved the small residents lounge to enjoy a quiet space for reading and sharing a bottle of wine.

Wonderful two nights staying in the Barn Annexe as we had our dog with us. That Annexe was spotless, spacious and caters to all your needs. This was our forth time staying at the Hare and Hounds in both rooms within the inn and the Barn. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent both the variety at breakfast and evening meals. Highly recommended. We’re going back for another visit end of November.

Excellent service and pub food was excellent. Convenient location to Lake District and Levens Hall. Lovely area and very safe.

Everything about our stay at the Hare and Hounds was 10/10. From the warm welcome,best welcome book and tray lovely clean bathroom and comfy bed to the excellent breakfast all was faultless. We can't wait to visit again.

This was a cute place to stay! Quiet área and friendly staff! Breakfast the next morning was really good! The hotel had a lot of charm! Would stay here again. 😀

We love staying here, we have stayed at least four times now, lovely location, excellent rooms, lovely touches provided, fresh coffee, brownies, gorgeous bath house products in the bathroom. Excellent breakfast provided, great homely pub to have a drink and food.

Lovely pub, room was great, clean tidy and a little mini fridge with water and fresh milk. Bed was comfy. Cafetiere provided too. Food was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We hadn't booked for dinner but they provided a little table for us which was great. I recommend booking a table as it gets very busy. We stayed on a Friday night. Good access to many of the lakes attractions and some good walks nearby. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Exceptional accommodation, and service. Comfortable bed, rooms finished to a very high standard More choices in the restaurant menu, would have been welcome Specials board maybe. Excellent location for what we had planned to do.

A fab stay at the hare and hounds. What a fabulous friendly pub with great helpful staff. Food was fantastic. Our room was spacious, clean and had beautiful views. We will definitely be back and couldn't recommend more to anyone wanting a base to stay for great walks and villages surrounding.

Heather the manager was very friendly and welcoming. We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal. The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home. Definitely would recommend a stay.
