Lovely staff, beautiful grounds, spacious room to a fairly high standard. Dog friendly: in the bar area only, but that is just as nice as the main restaurant.

We had a beautiful stay the night before a family reunion the next day, during which we enjoyed a delicious meal and were accommodated perfectly. Gratitude to the staff who seated us at a large round table which was perfect for us to exchange our many memories and celebrate our grandparents who celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary there back in 1973 and the bride and groom who held their reception there in 1971! We were even escorted to the original steps where all the group pictures were taken all those years ago! Thank you!

Absolutely loved this hotel and would definitely go back. It was a real gem, had lovely seating areas downstairs, a huge bedroom with really good quality furniture and amenities. A lot of thought had been put into the tea and coffee making facilities in the room, lots of choice and different tea selections

Restful and friendly

Didnt appreciate being told we had to pay a £50 hold on card minute we arrived ... only found out on leaving this was not towards drinks charged to room but damage to room and deposit would be released on decision of Housekeeping. Never heard of this before. ??? damage caused previously by wedding guests as the hotel depends on weddings? Whichever loud man was shouting in next room or under our bedroom window BEFORE 7am please learn some manners or revert to a Premier Inn.

Great little find Lovely hotel, welcoming staff Delicious breakfast!

This hotel had been booked for some time and we did online checkin a few days before. When booking as a couple you would expect your double bed but get two singles pushed together. Also requested a quiet room away from lifts, stairs and roads as we are light sleepers. We were allocated a room at the top of the stairs and next to a fire door. Noise throughout the night with people talking outside the room and banging the fire door. We raised this at checkout and was very disappointed with the response half hearted response ‘oh well we were full’. The room was also a little dusty and windows could have been in a better state of repair.

Lovely hotel.

Absolutely beautiful, clean, and well cared for hotel. Very quiet and peaceful even though they were hosting a wedding. We dined in the restaurant which was delicious and the breakfast was ordered and freshly cooked, if chosen. Beautiful hotel and lovely staff.

We’ve stayed at Hogarths Stone Manor before and were happy to return — it’s a truly lovely property. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the hotel itself has a charming, peaceful atmosphere that makes it feel like a real retreat. The staff were friendly and the service, as always, was great. That said, we visited during the summer, and the lack of air conditioning was a bit of a challenge. The heat in the rooms was quite uncomfortable, especially overnight, which did take away from the overall experience this time around. Still, Hogarths Stone Manor remains a picturesque and relaxing place to stay — just something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during a heatwave!
