Handy to train/bus station. Easy walk to cruise boat and downtown. Rooms and hotel basic but sufficient for reasonable price. One Negitive…room was hot as air conditioner didn’t work.

Value for money. It is exactly what it says . Budget. Staff are extremely helpful and kind. Place is very very clean. Dont book if you expect a mini bar and kettle. Its not that kind of place. For transport and a very short walk over the road to the train station - its perfect

Zimmer war in Ordnung, für eine Nacht völlig ausreichend. Leider keine Klimaanlage in den Zimmern. Die Fenster können nicht ganz geöffnet werden. Direkt neben dem Hotel ist eine Filiale von McDonalds mit entsprechenden Geruch.

Staff were friendly and the location was good. The hotel was basic but I suppose it is a budget hotel but the other guests or the assumption they were guests were very unsavoury, felt unsafe, woman in the area has her handbag stolen through force. The hotel felt very uncomfortable. Not recommended for families with children

Breakfast needs improvement. Need a new coffee machine, and add new items for breakfast. Very poor choices.

AC was not working and didn't even provide a fan nor moved us to different room. My son was struggling the entire 4 nights we were at their property.

It’s a basic room .. nothing fancy.

For my one-night, pre-cruise stay it was sufficient - clean bed, quiet - but the hotel is older and looking a little long in the tooth (scaffolding outside the front of the hotel didn't help - but I suppose that's a good sign that they're maintaining/updating the property). On check-in they gave my room to another guest (other than an awkward encounter, with both of us going back down to the front desk, it was no problem). Passed on the breakfast - they said it can be hit-or-miss (in terms of food remaining) and (in my opinion) was pricey for what you got. But if you're leaving from the Horizon Cruise Terminal it's really hard to beat - less than a half-mile walk from the lobby to boarding ship - and it's about that same difference to walk to the center of town. Based on location alone I'd recommend and stay there again if in Southampton.

This is Budget level so one doesn’t expect much, which is fine. I arrived early, had already checked in online, it was quick and I very much appreciated being able to drop off my backpack rather than waiting until 2 or 3:00 which is nonsense with some hotels.

Property was clean, everything worked as it should. Front staff were very courteous and let us store our bags for the day until check in. Property was very close to the cruise ports and train or coach stations so very handy. Would stay here again.

During breakfast, I saw one guy licking his fingers. May be the food was good (indeed the food wasn't good). Then he started to pick a few pieces of bread. I feel disgusting.

Billigt boende, och det märktes till viss del. Lite märklig planlösning i rummet, med handfatet i själva rummet istället för i badrummet med toaletten, och duschen var i en liten alkov precis bredvid handfatet. Golvet var lite sunkigt, det verkade lite dåligt städat. Men jag hade ju inte direkt väntat mig något fantastiskt på ett hotell med ordet "budget" i namnet, så det är ju inte jättekonstigt att det inte var världens bästa hotell. Det var ändå tillräckligt bra för mina behov, och jag kan tänka mig att bo där igen om jag har anledning att besöka Southampton igen i framtiden.

You get what you pay for... or so I thought, until I was talking to fellow travellers. They were raging about the cost of this budget hotel. I thought it was reasonably priced. It is basic, no frills, no vending machine, nowhere to put your clothes except a peg on the wall or a bench. That said, the bed was comfortable and there was a fan in the room. This was really useful given the air con didn't appear to be controllable. I reduced the setting to cool down from 30 degree weather outside and it hovered at 26 degree so not really worth the noise. I asked to use a hair dryer and the staff couldn't be more helpful. I also was given a room early without a problem. Altho' there's not a lot of amenities in the hotel, the staff were really helpful in signposting me. Improvements i'd recommend are 1] move the mirror closer to the one double plug in the room. 2] put in an additional plug beside the bed and 3] fix the aircon and put instructions into the room!

It is a budget hotel and you get a great sized, clean room with shower and toilet. There isn't a separate bathroom, the shower and sink is in the room with a separate small room with a toilet. Location is great, being less than 5 mins walk to the train station, Ikea and West Quay. The things I'm missed was the tea/coffee making facilities. I think it is expensive for what it is but was fine for one night. However, if I was staying again, I would try to get into the Ibis or Novotel which are next door as they aren't much more expensive and have much better facilities.

The room was clean with comfortable bed. The size is very small as it is a very budget accommodation. The carpets are old and need updating but the rooms do not have carpets so they are clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. One night is okay for a stay but probably not more than that. Not really comfortable to stay in.

This is a very basic hotel , budget is the correct name not sure it was good but value
