Staff unbelievably courteous. Iron in room a thoughtful idea. Really comforting stay. Baths could be a tad lower for the ladies and the elderly when redecorating. The courteous staff is what stands out. I am settled on the hotel.

Unlike my last visit at the beginning of Nov on first floor, this third floor room was not good enough for the money. Mattress sagging and really needs replacing. I placed a towel under the sheet as the mattress protector was very stained. Bed frame broken. A lot of noise from the room adjoining (315). Did I get the worst/last room because of late check in even though I booked well in advance? Staff on reception and serving at breakfast were lovely as usual and breakfast was good. Bar food last night was not as good as on previous occasions and menu items had sold out (salad niçoise). Chicken César salad was truly awful. Extremely limited alcohol free options too. Becks blue was only lager/ale option. You have Hobson’s brewery in Cleobury Mortimer down the road - you could use them. Missed opportunity in today’s increasingly sober curious age.
But as I said, reception staff, waiting staff and brekky all lovely as before.
