Really like this hotel. Although there’s not a lot of choice in the area, and I’ve stayed in most of them. This is by far the best and will stay again

Great Hotel

This hotel deserves 5 stars. Brilliant stay and dog friendly Shared a moving moment, was checking out on Remembrance Day and stood by the bar and reception area in silence for two minutes with the staff. Thanks for an excellent service.

Great gym

We had an excellent 4 nights. All the staff were first class and nothing was too much despite there being a private dinner & dance on Friday night and a wedding on Saturday. The room was very good and housekeeping provided us with a basket of towels etc every day as we stayed in the hotel to relax. Percy, our mini dachsund was provided with a nice bed, blanket and towel, all of which he refused to use, but he had his own crate. He had doggie treats by the score and many tummy tickles. We didn't use the leisure facilities and therefore cannot comment on them. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely room and great staff

Breakfast menu was ‘to order’ so everything cooked fresh. Bar was well stocked and there were plenty of places to sit and chat.

The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming and even though I was staying in a single room it was fairly spacious and comfortable. It was quite noisy on Friday night as I was above the bar, but to be fair it was Halloween so to be expected that it was a late one!

The staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable.

Overall, the rooms are clean they are somewhat in my opinion a bit extravagant for the travelling salesman with lots of cushions and very quirky features but a nice touch to have

We went to Cornwall for a short weekend and this hotel looked perfect for the family and dog! Every member of staff we met was so friendly and helpful and the hotel was done up everywhere in amazing Halloween decorations which we all thought were very cool. There was even a kids Halloween letter hunt around the hotel for a prize. The room was clean and a good size, with a great bathroom and perfect shower. There was a welcome package for the dog with blankets and food and water bowls, which was a great touch. Unfortunately the double sofa bed was not big enough for 2 people, not even 2 children, so we spoke to the hotel after the first night as it wasn’t going to be comfortable for the 4 of us. The hotel were incredible, and especially the manager, Sally, was so kind and understanding and worked so hard to try and find us a different room but the hotel was completely full so we ended up moving to a different place. It is a testament to how well the hotel is run and showing their values in how they handled our case, so we left feeling very grateful and cared for even when we had decided to moved. On our one night staying and this basis alone I would definitely recommend staying here! We are planning another trip already, just maybe without the kids ha!

Gym was not fit for purpose. Swimming pool and sauna was nice, jacuzzi was small, needed to get out and push a button everytime you want bubbles which was annoying. Customer service was friendly but not very helpful when it comes to sorting out problems, they very much stick to policy rather than finding a solution. They got my details mixed up with another customer and telephoned me while out having a meal to say they let someone into our room, we rushed back to find out what was going on, we were given an apology after explaining they had ruined our evening, least they could have done was offered us a drink at the bar.
