Room spotless, staff super, the pool, jacuzzi and steam room- amazing!

They upgraded our room i dread to think what double was like. The room was dirty dust on top of lamps wardrobes they must hoover around furniture as when you moved table it was filthy. The fittings was all odd some old some new. Then the pool and spa facilities was dirty. Womens changing room smelt of drains. The pool filers was dirty. Sauna was not warm first day second day was to hot. The jacuzzi was out of use got told it be fixed by tomorrow then got told a week then by 4pm lies. Went to get clean towels and got told we wasnt allowed to take to pool side but got told to bring them by other staff. Felt like we couldnt ask for tea milk etc as felt it was to much trouble. The breakfast was stone cold and coffee machine only give u half of cup. We stay in oir room all day on second day only came out for 30 mins. As we had bad stomach and i got bite under my eye so eye was sore and hard to open. Spent most of our stay on toilet. Very disappointed as supposed to be a relaxing break as both work long hours me being a frontline worker for NHS. But came home feel worst actually in bed writing this. Very upset about the whole stay.

Good room, good value, friendly team, good food Bit more oomph in the shower would help

Pretty disappointed, the beds in room 814 are terrible. Mattress is like sleeping on a camp bed and duvet like a piece of cardboard. This second time stay at hotel and bed & duvet the same. Food is average and over priced and so decided to eat at local village pub much better. Bar staff not that happy but reception staff were. Communal toilet never cleaned disgusting condition. WiFi awful. Hotel generally feels very tired and needs refurbishing or at a very minimum replace the beds.

Spacious room. Quiet. Good enough for a quick stopover but old lumpy beds (I had to use a folded up towel to stop the spring digging into my hip!) furniture tired. Bedding flat and heavy. Bathrooms clean and nicely decorated but noisy extractor fan. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was really nice. I wouldn’t stay again because of the mattresses, but all ther issues were minor.

Couldn't have our evening meal in the restaurant because OAP party took priority,should of been told at booking ,took a while for food to arrive in bar, not too pleased to say the least

Quick and pleasant check in, very professional and friendly. the room is great, large bathroom with walk in shower, bath and two hand basins. all very clean and fresh.

The hotel is lovely, and staff very friendly. The bathroom in my room was lovely and new but the main bedroom was dates, pealing paint and damp water marks.

We booked and paid in advance apart from the dog which was an additional only payable on arrival. On arrival we were asked to pay in full although we already had and they tried the same on checkout. The room key was continuously faulty and could not get it out room. The room was not clean or wholesome. Plaster falling from the walls, cracks, doors that don’t shut properly. Unclean surfaces and carpet. The spa was poor condition as well, a lot of black mould

Dirty room, extremely tired hotel, non enthusiastic staff. Overpriced at £120 per night for something that’s nowhere near worth that Should have read the copious amounts of 1 star reviews on trip advisor. Would definitely avoid

Gym didn’t open until 7am which is way too late for business travellers who need to be in the office. Neither did breakfast so it was completely packed, I had to share my table with another couple as they would have had no seat.

Check in went ok, informative but nothing personal. Room was a dissapointment - old tissues left by the bed, hair bobbles on desk & cobwebs and spiders in cornere of bathroom. Right hand side lamps by bed didnt work & switch seemed melted somehow - not great when you have a 3yr old. Food in bar nice but was full & only one member of staff on duty. Pool nice. Breakfast could have been better with items being topped up before they ran out (15min wait for any fried eggs). Check out incredibly impersonal - no ask of how stay was or any sort of small talk (i was only one checking out so wasnt as if she was rushed off her feet) just took room number, said bill was settled & a swift goodbye before she headed back in back office.

The place needs a complete renovation

Shower flooded the entire bathroom but other than that very nice, great pool/ spa facilities
