Clean, modern and spacious en-suite room, plus a great location to explore the Lake District. There was a little road noise, but this was not an issue. There are 3 parking spaces at the front of the hotel, but, if these are full, street parking is available until 9.30am with a disc to display (There are no restrictions after 6pm or on a Sunday). Free breakfast is provided - There are several options to choose from and all are of high quality. There is also a small bar, which serves evening meals from 5-9pm. The food is amazing and the portions large - I highly recommend. To finish off I must say all the staff are fantastic - friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
It was just a bed for the night and we had stayed there before. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were great and got up an hour early so we could have a bit of breakfast due to an early start. Will stay again next year if my daughter is racing again nearby.
We stayed for 1 night in June. We were originally allocated a room on the ground floor near the bar area, which under normal circumstances would have been fine, the room itself was very nice. However, we have a child undergoing cancer treatment and she would not have settled. Paul, who I believe to be the owner manager, was very accommodating and went to great lengths to ensure we could have a lovely stay at this hotel. He arranged for a single bed to be put in one of the double rooms upstairs, enabling us to stay the night. We were shown where to park the car, if none of the three parking spaces are available. He went above and beyond what one would expect from a small hotel / b&b. In the morning we went for our breakfast, which was very nice. I particularly liked the sausages. Thank you for everything
