Efficient check in, tidy and clean room. Breakfast was served quickly aftrt ordering and quality ingredients used and served piping hot

Quite a basic room but spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast was excellent, cooked to order and lovely and hot.

All of the staff were so helpful. They took the time to take us to our room. Even though they could just pointed us in the right direction. Evening meal must have been one of the best. I have visited many hotels. The staff here made us more than just welcomed. If I ever come this way again I will make a point of booking in here.

We had a lovely stay here. The rooms were comfortable, clean and surprisingly quiet. We were visiting a friend so it was the perfect location. We parked on someone’s drive with using just park( 7 mins walk away)as we knew the car parks were expensive. Pub was nice and the breakfast was great. Will be returning in the new year.

I was made to feel very welcome, my room had all I required and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The Nags Head is ideally placed to explore Chichester and the staff gave me plenty of useful advice about best value parking. Highly recommended

The breakfast was good

Really nice pub and great food. Centrally located. The room we had allocated seemed one of the smaller rooms available based on the photos and from seeing a friends room they had, which was a shame - Rooms where very clean and updated, bath and panels could do with replacing to match the rest of the bathroom suite. Our room had a double bed but one side was up against the wall and just a small bit of room on the other side making it not easy for accessibility. Breakfast was great and the service from the staff was outstanding. Would stay again but would hope for a larger room.

Staff were excellent and very helpful - breakfasts were plentiful and well presented - the beds were very comfortable, but the general cleanliness of the room and bathroom not so good - also the stairways and landings very untidy and cluttered - giving a very shabby look.

I always stay here when I'm in Chichester, as it's ideal! Perfect location, really friendly, kind & helpful staff members, super comfy bed and a cracking breakfast!

Good breakfast and pleasant staff. Very busy pub with wall-to-wall football screens and general bar drinkers hubbub. Avoid Goodwood room - very small, extremely noisy road outside, especially as window didn’t close properly, no wardrobe for hanging, only coat hooks & only just enough room for two single beds pushed together. Well used bathroom but good shower despite flooding the floor due to poorly designed shower screen. Cracked sink, toilet roll is behind the toilet, black mould. And yet, for the same price, Amberley room was spacious, quiet, modern, fully furnished with a better designed, bigger and updated bathroom. So two of our party were well happy, two were extremely envious!

Great location

I had an excellent stay at the Nags Head. A nice little touch was that all the rooms are all named after towns nearby. I had to extend my stay so was given another room for the last night. Both rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the first room was a twin with what looked like a newly refurbished bathroom with a good shower over the bath. The second room was a double which was equally as comfortable. The hotel also has free WiFi for those work addicts who stay over. I had breakfast every morning during my stay and was very pleasantly surprised to find a cooked breakfast on offer. We arrived on a Sunday evening, right in the middle of a Sunday Carvery, which we indulged in. The Nags Head is in a good location just off the end of East Street, so 30 secs walk and I was in the middle of town and the shops. I found both the morning and the evening staff all very friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The place itself has a bar down stairs and a large restaurant area as well and the building has plenty of character and also has a heritage award. Would hugely recommend and I would definitely visit again.

Cobwebs in the room - windows rattled even when closed (it was windy) expensive (no issue with that given it was Goodwood event but fairly brazen to charge nearly £500 a night for a £90 room

Our room was outdated - very worn! Extension cords hidden behind radiators (good thing the radiator was not on!). Shower over bath was slippery (mat provided didn’t help either! Grab rail would have been good!). Bathroom floor needed a good clean in the corners. Curtains were unhooked in places! Location fabulous! Breakfast good!

Great breakfast , even better Sunday carvery

We had an 8.30am appointment at Chichester Hospital on Tuesday 9th, so this hotel was very conveniently situated for getting to the hospital early and we were able to have a light breakfast before we left.

Breakfast was fantastic with lots of options. Staff were happy to look after my bag on check out day.
