Exceptional hotel 5+++ all the way

Couldn’t fault a single thing should be 5 star !

Room was big and spacious, nice balcony and everything we required, couldn’t fault it

Quite superb. A free upgrade was the iceing on our delicious cake. My only, minor, observation is the lack of usb/apple sockets. Easily corrected by replacing existing 3-pin with multi sockets, and so helpful in this increasingly device-dependent world.

I loved my stay at the Victoria and Source Spa hotel in Sidmouth. My first encounter with a member of staff was with the friendly and helpful Bellman who advised me on parking and helped me with my luggage from my car. Though i had arrived earlier than check-in time and my room wasn't ready, I was told I am welcome to use the hotel pool, spa and other facilities. The spa was very modern and i had a lovely couple of hours in there. Complimentary flip flops were provided as well as towels. The outdoor pool was a very nice temperature on a hot day and with the very comfirtable sun loungers I had a very pleasant time there enjoying the wonderful weather. My room (a single) was a very good size (could have had 2 people stay) and it was very clean. The bed was very comfortable with very nice bed linen and room decor. The bathroom was huge and the larye walk-in shower was fantastic. I also had a lovely view of the pool. I truly felt over the moon to stay here and hope to come back again soon. 10/10. The hotel has retaibed its sense of luxury and tradition in modern times and guest service is clearly a high priority.

This is a great and charming hotel. It looks a bit dated in the outside, but the facilities are great, specially the spa and food services. The town is small with great views of cliffs if you walk to the west. Lots of little shopping. The beach isn’t a plus as it’s rocky, but hotel has nice swimming options.

Lovely hotel but for the price I would have expected tea and coffee facilities not to be out of date

The hotel is excellent BUT the small new rooms facing south on the third floor (e.g. room 313) are no where near 4star rating. There is no air conditioning so that during sunny conditions the rooms become uncomfortably hot. A fridge or cooler box is not provided which adds to the discomfort. The bathroom is surprisingly devoid of adequate shelving to store the inevitable toilet accessories, the small bathroom cabinet being a poor substitute for this facility.

Beautiful hotel and spa. Very friendly staff and management. Not the cheapest of places, But you get what you pay for here. Recommended and will visit again in the future.

Exceptional service and cleanliness

A beautiful hotel with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The spa was really tastefully done, as were the rooms. It was also lovely to be just a couple of minutes walk from the beach, shops restaurants etc.

Gem of a hotel. Excellent couple nights stay. Room was excellent, Spa was fantastic and breakfast was 5*

It’s a very old fashioned experience, you MUST wear a jacket and tie do eat in the main dining area, and no denim, even smart Denim!!! They need to get into the 21st century. The food and service is however excellent

A lovely hotel with style and elegance. Our room was beautiful, with a huge bathroom, and was very clean and well-maintained. The staff at the Victoria are friendly and helpful especially Maria in the spa. The spa was new and very relaxing with great facilities. Dinner was delicious and we loved the live pianist. We will return!

The staff were all so friendly and helpful and respectful. One member of staff stood out which was Aiden but they were all nice. Used the spa and had couple of treatments. Again the lady, cant remember her name, was so helpful.
