The receptionists were always friendly, the rest of the staff not so much. The rooms were definitely not soundproofed and in need of an overhaul. The bathroom door knob had to be repaired, the dividers on the balcony between the rooms next to us were nonexistent. The shower didn’t have a full enclosure, so taking a shower flooded the bathroom. The offered buffet breakfast was bigger than expected.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Das Zimmer mit Castle View ist verwirrend. Es sollte eher Castle Side benannt werden, weil man das Castle aus dem untersten Stock nicht wirklich sieht. Man kann es nur erahnen wo es steht. Die Fenster lassen sich zwar öffnen aber zuunterst ist es möglich von der Strasse her ins Zimmer zu gelangen, daher kann das Fenster in der Nacht nicht offen gelassen werden. Es kann schlecht gelüftet werden und es hat auch keine Klimaanlage. Frühstück ist ok. Mir hat aber frisches Brot gefehlt. Es gab nur Toast.

I think there should be 2 parts to this : the hotel part is very dated and could use some upgrade, shower was smelly and not the cleanest I've seen. The outside of the hotel could also use a clean, not very appealing. Good breakfast buffet with local foods that are delicious. Staff was lovely and very helpful all around. The spa, pool, sauna and lobby areas are brilliant however and suit a multitude of needs and tastes. Pool area not quiet in the afternoons with kids, but to be expected in a family hotel so not a deal breaker.

Siisti, mutta kuumana kesäpäivänä olisin kaivannut ilmastointia. Minibaaria ei ollut.

Staff was great. Castle view I paid for, didn’t see the castle behind the shrubbery. No AC which we expected but also no ventilation. Couldn’t open window on ground floor for safety reasons so ended up with a downgraded room on 2nd floor so we could open door for air. Spa and pool was better than expected. Location was great for the fortress. Breakfast was good.

Consistently above average in every way

Kiva hotelli mutta liian vähän henkilökuntaa. Respassa äärimmäisen ystävällistä henkilökuntaa. Ravintolapuoli heikentynyt valtavasti viime vuodesta. Ruokalista supistettu muutamiin ns pikaruokiin mutta kiukutteleva tarjoilija ei ottanut edes tilausta vastaan. Aamupalavalikoima oli myös heikentynyt mutta oli vielä suht ok.

Perussiisti hyvä hotelli ja palvelu pelasi.

Pool and water slide closed during peak summer vacation time. Not advertised as such

Godt ophold. Fint spa område. God placering i byen og ved fort. Rart med lade stander på den gratis parkering. Evt kunne opgradrring være køleskab på værelse.

ASA spa once again delivered for me, Pool finished, spa easy and accessible, staff friendly , food choices were well planned. Great escape .

Stort komplex men funktionellt och bra läge med närhet till sevärdheter och stadens centrum samtidigt som havet ligger strax intill. Stor rymlig parkeringsplats

The room was clean and modern, except no air con, kettle or fridge. It did have a TV though and the door opened all the way to let some fresh air in but as I was on the ground floor I couldn't leave it open while I was out of the room. Like most sliding doors in Estonia though it can be left so it's only open at the top. Breakfast was great although not much was topped up in three last hour. Coffee machines had medium or dark roast options and are in the room next to the rest of breakfast Spa was empty between 10-12am but busy in the evenings
