Lovely room on the 6th floor, with a great view of the canal

Great location on the canal. The room was clean and staff very friendly. Nice powerful waterfall shower.

We spent 2 wonderful nights here and highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is quite small with limited services but was very clean and well attended. The two ladies who manned the front desk, Haifa and another young woman were very helpful and kind.

Amazing stay as always. Outstanding rooms with a great view of the canals. Very comfortable beds and bathroom. Plenty of space in the rooms. The only thing they need are wine glasses, they don't have any in the hotel! That is a travesty for Paris!

I love this little hotel in my favorite part of Paris! You can stroll along the hotel, go for ice cream across the street or pick from the many restaurants within a block or two.

We had the best stay at Le Citizen, staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. The room was so spacious and had everything we needed. Will definitely stay there again when we are next in Paris. Merci Beaucoup ❤️

Beautiful grounds

Très bon accueil Surclassement proposé gracieusement. Les travaux pour lesquels nous avions été prévenus en amont n’ont pas posé de problème ni perturbé notre séjour. Accueil très sympa, chambre spacieuse et confortable… vue sur le canal et le pont Arletty Je recommande vivement et pour ma part je garde cette adresse dans mon carnet

Rigtig dejligt område og dejligt personale. Vi kommer helt sikker igen. Grunden til at vi ikke give MAX stjerne, er at hotellet var under renovering, under vores ophold, hvilket vi ikke var beviste om. Det påvirkede ikke selve opholde, men vi kunne ikke opleve Le Citizen helt som tiltænkt. Men et fantastisk hjælpsom personale og beliggenhed.

Great position to explore Paris

The best place we have stayed in Paris. It's as simple as that.

The best part of Le Citizen Hotel was its quaint, walkable location along Canal Saint-Martin, surrounded by great coffee shops and restaurants. The room was spacious, but a persistent urine smell, likely from the A/C, made it unpleasant. While generally clean, the bathroom felt dirty, with mildew in the shower and a broken shower door causing water to spill everywhere. We had a relocation to Hotel Oratio (30 minutes away) due to renovations. The staff there didn’t seem aware of our reservation, and when we returned, our room wasn’t ready and construction was still ongoing. We had to leave our bags with construction workers since no staff was present. Checkout was chaotic—late at night, we were suddenly told we owed money, but the staff couldn’t explain why. The next morning, it turned out to be city tax, but their card reader wouldn’t work, and the staff was unhelpful. They did refund one night, and Chaime was great, but overall, poor communication and maintenance issues made this a frustrating stay. Hopefully, post-renovations, service improves.

Todo genial, la estancia y el trato del personal.

Accueil très chaleureux. Très bon petit déjeuner à base de produits frais (oranges pressées notamment). Belle vue depuis la chambre, mais des progrès à faire sur l’insonorisation. On entend beaucoup la rue (bien plus passante qu’attendu, même la nuit) et la chambre voisine (communicante si besoin).

Foi muito boa a nossa estadia. O quarto foi remodelado, bonito, tinha vista para o canal st martin, num ponto estratégico no bairro. Toda manhã serviam café com leite, chá, croissant e suco de laranja, podendo fazer a refeição no quarto ou na salinha no térreo. Disponibilizaram agua com gás e sem, e era reposto todos os dias. Voltaria lá com certeza.

Rooms were spacious and quiet. Great views of the canal. Lots of interesting restaurants in the area.

I loved the canal view, especially with the changing autumn leaves. There is a lock directly in front of the hotel and you can watch it operate when boats go through. Plus, if you like to people watch, this is the place. Loved all the amenities, comfy bed, nice shower and hot water pot for tea or coffee. Best part of the stay though was the friendly and helpful staff!
