생마르탱운하옆이고 주변에 좋은 레스토랑과 마레도 걸어서 갈수있는 거리에 위치한 작으나 깔끔한 호텔이다.

방 사이즈는 매우 작은 편. 하지만 모든 방의 창문이 다 생마르탱운하 쪽이라 커튼을 치면 바깥 뷰가 좋고, 햇살이 들이칠 때의 방 분위기가 좋아요. 현지인들이 주로 돌아다니는 주변 동네 바이브도 매우 좋고, 호텔에서 준비되는 아침식사가 훌륭합니다. 그 밖에 점심, 저녁 메뉴도 좋아서 호텔에서 식사를 하는 것도 추천해요.

파리여행 마지막날 공항이동이 편할 것 같아서 예약했는데 기대보다 너무 좋은 호텔이어서 놀랐다. 유니크한 객실은 사진보다 더 편하고 깨끗하고 예뻤고 화장실 타일사이 물때가 가장 신경쓰이는 부분이었지만 청소를 안한 느낌이 아니라서 기분 나쁘지 않게 잘 사용했다. 항상 웃으며 반겨주는 직원들과 웰컴 드링크로 직접내린 커피나 쥬스를 주는 것도 인상 깊었으며 호텔 근처에 쇼핑할 수 있는 괜찮은 샵도 많았고 특히 호텔 앞 운하에선 밤늦게까지 즐기는 젊은 사람들로 활기차보여 덩달아 기분이 좋아졌다. 파리 주요 관광지와는 조금 떨어져있는게 단점이라 짧은 시간안에 파리를 보고 가야하는 사람들에겐 추천하기 힘들지만 조금 여유있는 여행객들에겐 꼭 한번 묵어보라 권하고 싶을만큼 기분좋은 호텔이었다.

방이 좁다는 것만 빼면 대체적으로 나쁘지 않음.

Excellent location right by the canal, extremely picturesque and romantic! Very very good food and drink options nearby - recommend cocktails at Bisou, Ten Belles for coffee and pastries, le Verre Vole for wine and food, Chez Prune for classic French cafe and bar/resto, crepes at Breizh Cafe…. Room was perfect for us, there was a problem with the key a few times but staff was helpful. Convenient to Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est, metro line 4 (great for tourist locations). Very much recommend if you want a feel for a bit more of a local Parisian vibe with pretty good access to city center, too.

Wonderful, lively neighborhood walking distance from Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord, with great restaurants and bars nearby. Creatively decorated room with view onto the lock and swing bridge on the Canal Saint-Martin. Comfortable bed. Friendly, welcoming staff.

Cool area

Unfortunately, the hotel looks very different from the photos that are advertised online. It is actually a very old hotel that seems to have gone through only a very light renovation, and the pictures appear to be heavily edited. The breakfast was also disappointing and far from what one would expect. It included only one cup of juice, one cup of coffee, and one croissant. There were no fresh options such as fruit or oranges. I would not really consider this a proper hotel breakfast. Another major issue was the internet. There is practically no usable Wi-Fi in the hotel. The connection is extremely weak and barely works. Most of the hotel staff were very kind, polite, and helpful. However, the receptionist named Ayfa was not pleasant or welcoming at all, which stood out compared to the rest of the team. Overall, despite the kindness of most of the staff, I would not choose to return to this hotel again.

We spent 2 wonderful nights here and highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is quite small with limited services but was very clean and well attended. The two ladies who manned the front desk, Haifa and another young woman were very helpful and kind.

Amazing stay as always. Outstanding rooms with a great view of the canals. Very comfortable beds and bathroom. Plenty of space in the rooms. The only thing they need are wine glasses, they don't have any in the hotel! That is a travesty for Paris!

I love this little hotel in my favorite part of Paris! You can stroll along the hotel, go for ice cream across the street or pick from the many restaurants within a block or two.

We had the best stay at Le Citizen, staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. The room was so spacious and had everything we needed. Will definitely stay there again when we are next in Paris. Merci Beaucoup ❤️

Beautiful grounds

Très bon accueil Surclassement proposé gracieusement. Les travaux pour lesquels nous avions été prévenus en amont n’ont pas posé de problème ni perturbé notre séjour. Accueil très sympa, chambre spacieuse et confortable… vue sur le canal et le pont Arletty Je recommande vivement et pour ma part je garde cette adresse dans mon carnet
