The hostel is located by the busiest traffic road. People without house lives right outside the hotel. The facilities are old, the elevator wasn't working properly, I had to carry my luggages to second floor. We did not get the room that we found from the booking picture. The floor tiles were losing, it makes big noise when someone walks. The walls were not soundproof ,we could cleanly hear the conversations and car motions outside our room. The first receptionist was not friendly and helpless when I asked for advice on car parking. There were neither greeting nor goodbyes upon our arrival or departure. We traveled 18 days in Greece, stayed in several hotel or b&b, this is the only one we had to offer our concerns.

Overall it was great stay. I’m ok the noise from the road but someone will mind. The curtain in the bathroom should be removed or redesigned. It’s uncomfortable

3 night trip to Athens , booked it because it was close to Subway. The neighbourhood is not to most glamorous in the city but it’s doable. Room was clean and the hotel was good none the less.

The hotel is just a minute walk from Omonia metro station and it’s on a main road - you don’t have to go into any sketchy alleyways. I was alone and felt totally safe walking to/from the hotel. The room was clean and the bathroom was spotless.

The room was spotlessly clean, and as described. It was very convenient for all attractions and we were able to walk to everywhere as needed. We would stay here again and really enjoyed our time in Athens.

Ares Athens Hotel provided a mostly comfortable stay for my friend and I this weekend. The beds were a little hard, but from the amount we walked everyday, we fell right asleep every night. The rooms were mostly clean except for finding hairs on the sheets and on the blankets. The location, although a little sketchy at night, was a very short walk to all of the tourist attractions and very good food. The cleaning service was great and the staff was very friendly. Definitely would recommend if you’re on a budget.

Location is perfect if you want to move around. It is in the centre of Athens.Well serve by public transport. Near to all amenities

Good location for walking to see the sights. Nothing fancies about the hotel. It is clean and had a nice balcony that if you lean out, you can see the fountain of Omonoia.

This hotel offered me a very good value.

A basic hotel, very clean and with a 24-hour reception. About 10 minutes walk from plaza Monastiraki.

The hotel is close to the shopping Centre of 10 floor, restaurants, cafés and shops. 20 mins walk to the acropolis and all the tourist sites and squares. Friendly, nicely and helpful staff. Thanks. Bonnefoi

I liked that the room is big and well equipped I didn't like that the room was a bit cold

The hotel is not in the centre . It’s on the outskirts of where you want to be. This is an honest review. It’s the dirtiest hotel I’ve been to. There were stains on the pillow case. The fridge didn’t work and was in an old broken cupboard . I felt very unsafe here even when I checked in mid afternoon. I immediately took photos and went online to find somewhere else to stay despite having paid for 4 nights in advance. I took the key to reception and told them and they didn’t seem surprised that I left.

Perfect Budget Friendly Hotel, with all the basic necessities that you need! Conveniently located in the Center of the City, making it very accessible to catch all the Transportation options in Athens! The Staff was extremely kind and helpful! I would definitely stay here again, save money on Hotel costs to spend more enjoying the city! Thanks Ares Athens Hotel for a Great Stay!

Good property for the money, very well location. One part doesn't seems safe, but we didn't have any safety issue.

The property was not cleaned properly,when we checked in the room had not been cleaned. The wifi was very slow, there were bare wires. It was in a good spot. There were fleas and bedbugs. The hotel photos are not the hotel now.
