An excellent hotel with good view and services. The breakfast is simple but delicious

We stayed here for one night, the last stay in Athens and ended our trip contentedly. The hotel is near Metro station around 5-10mins walk and a 5-min walk to the must-go tourist spot Acropolis. The area is relatively in peace and safe (compared with Omonia). There are several high-ended restaurants just outside the Metro exit. One only drawback is since the hotel is located along a slightly-sloped street, it was a bit hard and tiring when we were having our luggage. However, the reception staff were helpful and proactive that helping us to take along the luggage for around 10 steps of stairs at the entrance of the hotel. Simple and nice breakfast provided.

Good location just 5-10 mins walk to Acropolis and plaka. Centre position. Quite room with good breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel for just one night after returning from the Greek islands, and I genuinely regret not booking it for our entire Athens itinerary. While it may not be a luxurious five-star property, this hotel far exceeded our expectations with its comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms and exceptional service. The rooms were cozy, well-maintained, and provided everything we needed for a restful night. The attention to cleanliness was impressive, making our brief stay feel refreshing and pleasant. However, what truly sets this hotel apart is its outstanding service—hands down the best we experienced during our weeks traveling through Greece. The staff was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for. If you’re looking for a comfortable, reliable, and welcoming place to stay in Athens, this hotel is a fantastic choice. My only regret is not staying longer! Highly recommend.

Front desk were informative and helpful. The rooms were clean. I enjoyed the breakfast and coffee each morning. The location was a short walk to the main streets. Overall I enjoyed my stay and really appreciated the helpful staff I would recommend to friends and family.

We were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient and walkable to many areas of Central Athens. We were four minutes away from the Acropolis Museum and also a quick walk to the main entrance of the Acropolis. It was a comfortable walk to the other popular areas to shop and dine. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious.

Pros: centrally located to the acropolis, a small rooftop with view of the acropolis Okay: breakfast had a lot of options, but none were too appealing Cons: they set the a/c to 74 and you have no control over it - only if you want the fan running or not. The bed was very firm, the bath/shower was atrocious - it has a half step inside where you cannot easily shower or bathe, very awkward. My room was immediately behind the front desk and very noisy - I could hear everything from the bathroom and I'm sure they could hear me as well. Very uncomfortable.

Perfect location, close to the Acropolis and hundreds of shops very close to the Pole. Very nice and helpful staff

The rooftop view of the Parthenon was pure magic.

Phillipos hotel was wonderful. The staff was accommodating and helpful. Rooms were clean and the area near the hotel was walkable to restaurants, shops and transportation. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I would highly recommend Phillipos hotel in the Plaka area of Greece. The staff was wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The area was walkable and had lots of shopping and restaurants. Transportation was easily available. Hotel was clean and breakfast was good

Very small but that’s what i expected when I booked this hotel with good prices. Fortunately our room has very big terrace with acropolis view. Terrace is actually bigger than our room. Small boutique type of hotel common in Europe. Staffs are nice and communication in English is good. Easy to go many tourist sights. When we went out at 6 AM for local bus tour package, they packed breakfast for us but you need to ask for it night before

They did an excellent job. Complementary airport shuttle would be a plus
