I would highly recommend Phillipos hotel in the Plaka area of Greece. The staff was wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The area was walkable and had lots of shopping and restaurants. Transportation was easily available. Hotel was clean and breakfast was good

Pros: centrally located to the acropolis, a small rooftop with view of the acropolis Okay: breakfast had a lot of options, but none were too appealing Cons: they set the a/c to 74 and you have no control over it - only if you want the fan running or not. The bed was very firm, the bath/shower was atrocious - it has a half step inside where you cannot easily shower or bathe, very awkward. My room was immediately behind the front desk and very noisy - I could hear everything from the bathroom and I'm sure they could hear me as well. Very uncomfortable.

Very small but that’s what i expected when I booked this hotel with good prices. Fortunately our room has very big terrace with acropolis view. Terrace is actually bigger than our room. Small boutique type of hotel common in Europe. Staffs are nice and communication in English is good. Easy to go many tourist sights. Beautiful boutique hotel just a few blocks from the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, and the Plaka. The view from the roof of the Acropolis was incredible. Lovely staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. I would stay here again!
