This hotel was perfect for us - we spent a week exploring Chennai, and found the location worked very well; there is easy access to the (easy to use) metro, a large mall is nearby, as well as coffee shops and inexpensive restaurants aplenty. The hotel itself is spotless, the staff very friendly and responsive, and the breakfast was excellent. There's nothing FANCY here, but a clean and quiet room, comfortable bed and linen, and pleasant people to interact with. Perfect for our needs.

Metro駅から近く、場所も分かりやすので、ロケーションは良かったです。 チェックインではどこのサイトで予約したかの確認に時間がかかりました。受付では、朝食の場所や時間、Wifiについて、教えてくれませんでした。 部屋はゴツゴツと騒音が響いているので、別の部屋に換えてもらうと、エアコンの異臭があり、更に部屋を換えてもらうことになりました。30分以上待った後、案内されたのは広い部屋でした。清潔感もあり、シャワーヘッドも使え、アメニティも十分揃っていて、快適でした。 廊下に出ると、空調の制御装置のジェットエンジンのような騒音が気になりました。 朝食は美味しかったです。

Very helpful staff

Stayed in May 2025. The hotel is very pricey. Not at all worth for ~INR4700/night for one king bedroom. Ambiance is not good, when we entered it was smelling bad. Cleanliness was good not great. Not maintained well. Dust from AC vent (not cleaned for years looks like). You will not feel to use water kettle or small refrigerator. Checkin was fast but not satisfactory e.g., they gave me room key and have to ask everything WiFi, password, breakfast details etc. They have good buffet breakfast. Service was good.

Requested quiet room and got one. Clean room, very comfortable bed, good house-keeping and good breakfast included. Recommend.

It was an excellent location!

The property was central to a lot of things. There are two malls, two metro stations, plenty of restaurants around. Getting around the city was quite convenient. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained.

I stayed with my family and also booked for my parents. Stay was very comfortable. Management is great. Had some confusion initially with booking as I used some third party website to book but after all this solution was provided instantly. Rooms were made ready and complimentary dinner was hosted by Hotel. This hotel really cares about customer and customer experience. I would be delighted to come again and stay at La Woods. Breakfast is super delicious. I recommend this place as it will make your vacation a memorable one.

I have stayed in this hotel in 2012,2015 and 2017..Was a gem at that point. This time in 2022, it has degraded a lot, possibly a post-covid situation, but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone at this point...The staff were irresponsible with a dont care attitude and cleanliness was terrible. I think it has been years since they have done some maintenance to the rooms/hotel and bathrooms. Anyone who wishes to get some infection can definitely stay in this hotel.

Good location near to all major places and metro

The staff are wonderful, the meals definitely worth having. The cleaning staff start banging doors and talking loudly in the hall ways very early each morning. Don't count on sleeping in.

Overall, this was an excellent choice. The place is clean top to bottom, the service is excellent and the restaurant is great for breakfast and dinners. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The halls have interesting creative information about herbs and other healing things on the walls. Our only problem was with the WiFi being rather poor. My laptop would not connect at all. The staff IT person was in our room so often, we considered adopting him. He finally got it to work. Would we stay here again? Definitely!
