Excellent hotel in the edge of Malahide and extremely convenient location from Dublin Airport.

All great. Room, staff, breakfast...

Rude front desk staff charged me an additional €40 for the room over what I had already paid. Room not as described on website, building work being carried out along the corridor, dust everywhere, constant noise & random fire alarms. Please refund asap.

Yes breakfast variety was very good.

We have stayed at The Grand on a number of occasions and always enjoyed the ambience - including the friendliness of the staff. However ... We generally book the same type of room - the 'superior' twin or double - but there was no doubt that the space in our room last week was significantly less that that of the room we were allocated in July - so we were slightly disappointed. The room did feel a little cramped - partly because of the extra bed - which we had no need of.

Two of the staff on reception were not at all welcoming infact quite dismissive. My main complaint was the lack of GF ( none) in the bar area and yet they had GF beer ? We ate in the main restaurant and the food was very good with GF options and the head waitress in the restaurant was excellent both at dinner and breakfast

Everything was great, it's a beautiful hotel in a very picturesque area. The only negative comment I have concerns some of the food in the restaurant. I had a fish dish, sea bream, which was a bit tasteless and had quite a few bones in it. Considering the prices It was disappointing and I didn't enjoy it very much. I would certainly stay there again but wouldn't eat the restaurant. However the bar food the evening before was excellent

Room was very clean. Staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice.

Everything was excellent - hotel, room and staff. All our meals - breakfast, lunch and evening were delicious. All the staff we met went the extra mile. Would book again in a heartbeat. Ann O

Breakfast was ok. Could have been hotter. Sausages and bacon could have been cooked more. Our room on both mornings had no hot water and the radiator in bedroom didn’t work. The fan in bathroom did not work either. All was reported at time. Disappointing for a 5 star hotel

The Grand Hotel is set in a perfect location in Malahide and is presented to the highest order. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Overall and lovely stay and highly recommended.

Just a suggestion, but the live singer in Friday 24th, who was amazing, but sang to an almost empty bar, where as, if maybe relocated to another area, perhaps the vast reception or the smaller front area bar, it would have been more inclusive..

Modern spacious room with great shower room and excellent coffee facilities

Lovely refurbished hotel centrally located. Nice spacious rooms. Gorgeous communal areas and lovely bars. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice.

It is situated in a lovely village with a lovely ocean walk. The rooms are super comfortable, the bathroom modern and lovely.
