I had to modify my itinerary completely as soon I arrived at this hotel. False advertisement: the room they assigned to me was on a tower that was not even connected to the hotel. To enter that building we had to leave the main building and go across the street, they even had to guide us to get there. To enter you have to input a code and the room was next to that buzzing door we were not able to sleep with the buzzing all night and the scent of the towels and linens was very strong and gave me allergies.They also advertise free breakfast we went at 7:45 there was no breakfast not even water. Terrible experience.

Everyone was so friendly and accomodating. Our room was fabulous. So beautifully decorated. Bed was so comfortable. Had everything we could possibly need. Loved the Spritz Bar and snacks. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have had. Beautiful glass room. We usually stay in an Airbnb when traveling to Lucca. Now we will stay here every time.

The team at hotel Ilaria is wonderful. They are incredibly accommodating and warm. Everyone we encountered from the front desk to dining services to housekeeping; went out of their way to make us feel at home. Our room was beautiful and spotless.
We will not hesitate to return.

We are from Scotland and stayed here a week from 8th November. Excellent hotel. Lovely facilities and fantastic quality. Lovely room ( although we would have preferred to be in the main building than the tower), extremely comfortable bed and all facilities first class. The hotel is excellently positioned for exploring Lucca and reaching the train station to wider explore Tuscany.Staff were all exceptional - breakfast ladies deserve a special mention, they were all lovely and very efficient -as do all the reception staff who likewise were very helpful and always willing and available to assist. We were very impressed. A special mention to Greta on reception. Not only was she first class in dealing with any requirements we had- such as booking a private transfer to the airport- but she was always smiling and cheery and nothing was ever a problem.
Compliments to everyone. We hope to be back and will highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lucca.

Very well positioned hotel, with very helpful and pleasant staff. The breakfast was good and more than adequate. Easy walking distance to the old city, and not too far from the railway station. This was our second visit to this hotel.

Nice hotel . Friendly reception staff . Good at explaining the complimentary drinks and happy hour arrangements etc. Very helpful arranging restaurant bookings and sourcing tickets for Puccini opera evening. Breakfast in the morning was substantial with beautifully prepared pastries and Italian sweet cakes . Liked the location . All walkable would go back but ask for a bigger room as the double we paid for was not that big
