Mercure Roma Centro Colosseo

We had a Privilege, Double Room. Like: - The bed was sizable and comfortable for 2 persons - Toilet was ok sized - Room size was pretty sizable too - The roof top pool had amazing view and good for cooldown during summer heat - bar up at roof was reasonably priced too - close to colosseum within 5-10 mins walk Did not like: - hotel is a bit dated interior - the windows are incredibly small so the room was quite dark overall - a lot of amenities were very basic, including cups for drinking and brushing teeth are paper cups - not a cheap hotel price wise No comment: - did not try the food So overall I think the hotel is ok but if we had more time to search we may look for another one.

Hôtel très bien placé proche du Colisée et du centre historique nous avons pu tout faire à pied La chambre était petite mais vraiment bien agencée avec un mini frigo et tous les jours 2 bouteilles d’eau offertes , les produits d’hygiène dans la sde de la marque Nuxe sentaient super bons et pour finir le rooftop avec piscine et vue sur le Colisée est vraiment top avec des tarifs corrects et du personnel super agréable ! Pour nous c’est un sans faute on recommande !

Super nice staff, great location

Overall a good location (never felt unsafe, but we know now there are nicer areas to stay) and fairly good value for the July busy season. The double rooms are very small and shower is also extremely small with 1 pump for soap, shampoo and conditioner in one. I’m just about 5 feet 8 inches tall and a 165 pounds and I had a very hard time moving around. The elevators are also small so be prepared for 1 person going up with large suitcases. The pool is small but the view of Colosseum is worth it to be able to soak in some rays and take a dip. The rooftop patio is nice for breakfast or an end of evening night cap. Overall it’s a good hotel, that’s clean and safe, just be aware of the size of the rooms and bath.

Hotel was great. Especially the pool. I loved the location and the close proximity to the coliseum. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Rome.

Fabulous location by the colosseum and restaurants but not in the madness of crowds. The pool was nice but small. Great casual rooftop restaurant.

Love this property and its staff. Everyone from the booking agent to the receptionist to the dining room staff to the pool staff were all so pleasant and helpful. And the pool on the roof overlooking the city and the Colosseum is amazing and stunning! Will for sure return.

The service at the rooftop restaurant was fantastic. We also loved taking a dip in the pool with the lovely view of the Colosseum.

Location is outstanding, and view of coliseum is amazing. Great selection and variety for breakfast, rooms are very clean and staff ensures that you are comfortable and are so helpful Pool and bar were a nice add, and available to enjoy if you have the time. Staff at bar was very nice. Would recommend this hotel.

Amazing hotel, amazing view 10/10!

Beautiful pool with amazing views, great neighborhood.

Very convenient location, clean and friendly staff. The breakfast was wonderful - buffet style with hot and cold, cereals, pastries and very good quality. The bedrooms were very small which wasn't a problem but the air conditioning is set and the room never really felt cool so we didnt get the best night of sleep. Also heads up if you use the garage for parking. It is extremely tight turning corners, we had a large volvo and one of us had to get out to help navigate. At one turn it was almost impossible and we ended up making a scratch in the rental car which, as we all know, is going to end up costing us. Unless you have a small car find somewhere else to park.

Great location with beautiful views, just a short walk to the Colosseum and plenty of local restaurants. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn’t working well, which made the room uncomfortable in Rome’s summer heat. Other than that, we had a great stay.

The hotel's standout feature is its amazing rooftop pool with breathtaking views of the Colosseum, especially at sunset. It was definitely the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the breakfast was very basic and overpriced for what was offered. The room was extremely small, there wasn't enough space to fully open even one large suitcase, let alone two. The layout was also unusual, with the shower located right next to the bed, which offered very little privacy. The location is ok, just a few minutes' walk from the Colosseum and about a 30-minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona. Overall, while the rooftop and location are good, the room size, layout, and value for money made the hotel feel overpriced.

Lovely hotel great pool great staff

We were allocated a room on arrival and on entering the room we were very disappointed. It was small, dark and the shower was on the opposite side of the room to the other bathroom facilities. There was a door out on to the fire escape and the view was over the delivery and bins area. It was horrible, a real last minute, put a room in that gap sort of thing. Sadly I can't remember the room number. I went back to reception and politely told them that it was not a £350 per night room and asked for a change. They said they were fully occupied but managed to find another room (111), which I must say was very nice,much bigger and more suitable for our needs with a better view. I must say though thst it was still a dark room with not an abundance of lighting in it. The location is wonderful being a few hundred metres from the Colisseum with lots of bars and restaurants close by. The rooftop pool was great and much appreciated after walking around in 38' and the rooftop bar was very nice in the evening looking out over the illuminated Colisseum. Breakfast was okay with food to satisfy all needs and the staff throughout the hotel were very pleasant and helpful. We had a good three nights here but would have been thoroughly disappointed had we not been able to change from the initial room allocated.
