Fantastic place to be for spending your time at kyoto. Room is clean. Staffs is kind and good an English. The location is close to bus stops and nearby is Kyoto Railway Museum and Kyoto Aquarium. And the prices is reasonable compared to other hotels in Kyoto. Overall a must choose if you looking for hotel in Kyoto.

Super nice!!
- super friendly, knowledgeable, passionate host!! very welcoming, very willing to answer all the questions
- it is near bus station (you mainly travel by bus in kyoto as metro network isn't that good in kyoto relatively, so even this hostel is not near to metro stations, it is totally fine!!)
- very clean! despite you need to share bathroom and toilet, they are always clean!! toilets and bathrooms are enough for all the guests, you won't need to wait long.
- the room is very clean!
- the breakfast is very enough for you to start the day happily (they provide milk, coffee, different kind of tea, cereal, rice with few kinds of japanese seasonings, banana etc etc)
- their cooking utensils are adequate for you to cook big meals haha
- guests are very friendly and nice and tried their best to keep the place neat and tidy (probably as they saw this place is so nice they want to maintain it)
- wifi is fast

I came with 2 adults and stayed in the twin room with extra bed. It is just enough for three opened suitcase. Room and bathroom are clean and tidy.
Although it may not be the most convenient place to go out for sightseeing, it takes 15 min to Kyoto station by bus which I think it's acceptable. I really like the kitchen here, it has got almost everything you need. Besides, the BnB also provides simple breakfast which includes toast, coffee, cornflakes, etc. Staff here can communicate well in English so don't worry if you are an English-speaking people. I can see the passion and effort the BnB pays to promote Japanese culture by holding various of activities like the takoyaki party and other workshops. Though I didn't join these, I believe they are well-organised. I would recommend Fujitaya BnB to all families coming to Kyoto as it's just like a hostel but in family bases. What a favulous stay here!

Great stay! The property was nice and clean. The common areas were easy to use and felt social. We also rented bikes from the hotel and they were great and affordable! The desk staff was knowledgable about biking paths in the area.

This place is incredible, run by a family of four they were so incredibly helpful. Their English was excellent and the location was very close to bus stops and convenience stores. There are shared spaces so do be aware of that and the rooms have great AC but the shared spaces tend to be closer to outside temps. Overall, this place was incredible and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in Kyoto.

As soon as we arrived it felt calm and peaceful in the property. Check-in was easy and staff showed us to our room and where amenities were etc. The bedroom had enough space for two people and two large backpacks. The showers and toilets were perfectly clean and although there are a lot of rooms in the property we only waited once for a shower (for 5-10 minutes). The communal kitchen and living space was also spotless. Beds are futon style and I had a comfortable sleep. Bedroom had a window and aircon system. Staff were lovely and always on hand if needed. A wonderful stay and highly recommended!
