Everything about this place is top notch--the facility, the location and especially the staff. We were treated like royalty here. Earlier in our trip, we had stayed in Shinjuku because we wanted to see the sights in that area, but after visiting other parts of Japan, we returned to Tokyo and decided to check out this area near the Imperial Palace, Ginza and Tokyo station. We definitely enjoyed this part of the city more. If we ever return to Tokyo, the Palace Hotel will be our top choice.

Tokyo has lots of great top end hotels but none come close to the comfort and service of the Palace. The location directly opposite the Imperil Palace Gardens can't be bettered and the warmth of the welcome at check-in is enough to make you forget the 14 hour flight from Heathrow. This is arguably the best managed hotel in Asia and quite possibly the world.

The property location and view were incredible.

First time in Japan and this was by far one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve been to quite a few countries! Service and hotel is absolutely top notch! I’m not sure there is much better than this hotel, enjoy!

Favorite hotel in the world

The Palace Hotel is the epitome of excellence in terms of service, facilities and amenities. Whenever I have stayed here, I have been impressed in all ways and leave anticipating my next stay here. It truly is one of the best hotels that I have had the pleasure to stay in.

Palace Hotel lives up to its 5 Star status! From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed (5 days later) everything was first class. The room was impeccably clean and well-appointed, the breakfast was abundant with both western and japanese style options, the staff was attentive and helpful. And the location of the hotel across from the Palace Gardens and close to a subway and Tokyo station is unbeatable .

Luxury accomodations, city/park views, delicious dining, premium spa/gym/pool amenities and, most memorably, 5-star service throughout our stay. We brought a family of four to cheer my wife through her sixth world major marathon and the Palace Hotel provided a welcoming and comfortable home during our stay. This was one of the best experiences we've had anywhere in the world. The attention to detail and care demonstrated throughout our stay was an incredible way of experiencing Japanese culture. Highly-recommended without hesitation.

I like a very quiet, clean, good nick hotel. This hotel clearly fits. I was pretty jet lagged and didn't appreciate someone banging on the door for turndown service right after I got to sleep. There was a do not disturb button I couldn't see in the dark but it worked once I found it. The Japanese restaurants were probably good but I couldn't get a reservation when I wanted and probably looked too shabby to get in without one. I'm pretty much a peasant and look like one. Next time I'll go back to the imperial. Rather than so much staff on the ground floor, I appreciated their floor ladies with whom I could more easily/personally interface. Not to dis the palace staff, they were all very nice and perfectly groomed, just all clustered on the ground floor. Views of the palace grounds were not to be beat and the room HVAC was perfect and quiet. Since I am a birdwatcher, proximity to the palace grounds was wonderful. Also nice having a metro station in the basement along with a 7/11. Easy walk to Tokyo station. There's an apothecary in a nearby building.
