If you’re searching for a hotel to stay in Almaty but you’re put off by the room rates at the Ritz-Carlton, my advice is get a temporary second job to increase your budget because this hotel, their staff and the facilities are worth every penny of the cost.
The staff are second to none in their attention to detail, their anticipation of your requirements and going the extra mile to make your stay not just good but verging on the magical!
The management deserve an accolade for achieving such a high standard of service from every member of staff in all departments of this hotel.

inconvenient location away from the city, chose as looked close"er" to Shymbulak but not much difference at the end of the day.
Concierge gave us wrong information on several occasions, room cleaning needed reminding.

The hotel is beautiful with a useful car park. Do remember to make sure that you go all the way up to the 30th floor to find the reception. Breakfast is on the 30th floor and then the rooms are situated below that. There are beautiful views of the mountains from all windows. Reception is stunning with plenty of seating.
