Residence Bassac

Incroyable endroit qui dégage une sérénité apaisante. Un vrai coup de coeur pour cette bâtisse extrêmement bien agencée et décorée. Le personnel est au petit soin, des attentions rythment la journée, comme la préparation des chambres pour le coucher. Nous avons pu tester un duplex donnant sur un luxuriant jardin à l'arrière de la bâtisse, et une des 2 chambres avec vue sur le Mekong, plus petite mais à l'environnement enchanteur. Le petit déjeuner se réduit à un choix entre 3 plats (soupe, oeufs bacon légumes, ou muesli yaourt), ainsi que des fruits frais et une boisson chaude. Le seul point un peu décevant de notre séjour. Nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant, les prix étant bien plus élevés que de nombreux très bons restaurants alentour. En résumé, nous reviendrons avec plaisir pour ce cadre incroyable, et ce service irréprochable.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre sejour a la résidence Bassac. Nous avons ete tres bien accueilli et notre chambre etait tres confortable . La maison est tres jolie ,pleine de charme aec les bougainvilliers et frangipaniers tout autour de la terrasse couverte. Cest tres bien décoré et l'ambiance est tres agreable ,surtout le soir avec la musique et l'éclairage....on se croirait des années en arrière. Le petit déjeuner etait tres bon . Le diner également. Nous avons pu organiser notre transfert vers les îles avec la jeune femme de lhotel aussi. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

This is a lovely peaceful place to stay with magnificent sunrises available from several bedrooms and at the lounges by the river. The staff were ever helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Residence Bassac. I do however recommend that if you partake in the alms giving ceremony to the Buddhist monks, that you find out the cost beforehand. I found it unreasonably high and would have rather given the money straight to the monks. Otherwise thank you Residence Bassac for a gracious, delightful and memorable stay.

On a dusty country road in Southern Laos lies this wonderful little boutique hotel in an old French colonial building. Situated in the extremely cozy village of Champasak. 35 km south of Pakse. The resturant is WONDERFUL and the staff here is always smiling and totally outstanding. The friendly chef pops out from the kitchen and gives a hand with the free bicycles. Averybody here is just awesome. We stayed for a week and our room was really nice. Two floors and a nice balcony. Good wifi, exellent breakfast, peace and quiet. We’ll be back!

It's a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. Our room was very comfortable with all possible amenities. They have good bicycles you can borrow, so you can easily cycle to Wat Phou. There are several restaurants near the hotel as well as their own restaurant. The only minor remarks we have was that our garden room was outside the wifi range. And we would have preferred to pick and choose breakfast options rather then have a set menu.

I loved this hotel in Champasak. It was so tranquil and friendly. Loved going to the back garden and sitting on the Mekong river to read. The staff were friendly and so helpful. The food was amazing, with a good mix of western and local food. I would definately recommend this little gem of a hotel for pure relaxation and enjoying your time in Laos. Visiting Wat Phou early in the morning was a must, and I would have liked to visit Si Phan Don, but that was expensive as I was by myself so I will plan that for next time as its another 2-2.5 hours away. They have a good mix of bedroom styles, and I had a suite which had a very comfy bed and a seperate lounge area so I could watch the goings on along the street. The prices for everything were in USD, which is fine but things are more expensive overall here compared to other parts of Laos I have visited. This I can understand as everything has to be brought into the region. I would recommend that the hotel considers putting in a swimming pool in their back garden, as this would be a fantastic bonus based on the heat/weather. After exploring its so nice to have a cooling dip, or a lovely area to chill with a good book. Thank you to the wonderful team for such a beautiful stay and experience in Champasak!

We stayed 3 nights at Residence Bassac which we really enjoyed. The hotel is perfectly positioned for the Champasak region and all it has to offer. The staff is very helpful with permanent smiles on their faces. Breakfast is pretty good, and we could have spent hours watching the daily life pass by in front of the hotel. The room was big and very clean as well as nicely decorated. The bed is really comfy, and the hotel is peaceful and quiet. In front of the room there is a little patio where you can enjoy life outside watching the beautiful flower garden with its butterflies. We highly recommend this place and will be back if we should be in Champasak again.

Albergo molto molto carino con una persona (indiana) che lo gestisce in modo eccezionale. Essendo di madre lingua inglese non ci sono problemi di comunicazione e ci ha fornito supporto e indicazioni per un piacevolissimo soggiorno

Todo lo que puedo escribir referente a este hotel es fantástico, cuidado absolutamente al detalle. Se adelantan a tus necesidades. Hay dos tipos de habitaciones principalmente, una de ellas es tipo bungalow, salón con baño abajo y sofá cama y en la parte de arriba la habitación de matrimonio y otro baño completo. El segundo tipo es básicamente lo mismo pero en una planta. Extremadamente limpio y bonito. El restaurante fantástico, buena calidad y buena cantidad Respecto al personal muy amable y siempre con una sonrisa. Tuvimos la suerte de conocer a los dueños, encantadores. Respecto que hacer por la zona, puede parecer que no hay nada, pero todo lo contrario si te gusta la naturaleza y algo de lugares históricos. Por supuesto es el sitio ideal para no hacer nada en algunos momentos del día. La paz del lugar se contagia. Siempre que vaya por allí, repetiré.

Quiet location very friendly- good food. Probably the best property in the area other than going over to the island.

Wir haben uns in diesem kleinen Hotel im Kolonialstil sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Beste Hotel am Platz da mitten im laotischen, dörflichen Leben. Die Küche ist phantastisch. Herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team . Wir kommen gerne wieder. Fahrt nach Laos!!! Wie Thailand vor 30 Jahren. Wenn man es so sagen darf. Das Herzstück aber ist Laos und seine Menschen . Ebenfalls empfehlen können wir das von der Französin Nathalie geleitete Champasak Spa. Ein Traum!!!

Nice property but not on the River. Restaurant limited too much to western food although excellent. No television. Wifi very good. Excellent manager. Close to center of town and not too far from Wat Pho
