just a renovated old house and a budget hotel priced at a 4 star hotel rate. in an old street (bangkok lane) where there are 2 famous temples, 2 shopping malls and 1 famous (but disappointing) night food market. no need and not worth to stay. charge me RM 50 for "an extra bed" (lower bed under the existing bed without warning and price notice). room is not conveniently set up as a hotel, toilet has no air-con in balcony, evidence of bed bugs on the body of my son after sleep. light setting and room conditions are not good. office just in the opposite house but the staff are not actively helping other than giving introduction to the free shuttle and food in the area. yet no free breakfast or even hot tea or coffee are served (other than 3 in 1 coffee bags to help yourself), don't know why the staff are stationed so close for. there are hundreds of nicer and better hotels at this price. I regreted for booking and staying in the hotel very much.

My family and I were happy staying in Dwell by Palanquinn for Thaipusam. The room was clean and had all facilities. The customer service was good. The PIC was friendly. Thank you very much.

Nice peranakan style room. Simple for 1 night stay. Walking distance to eateries and shopping malls. Owner was kind enough to allow us to place our baggages at common area after checkout as our flight was in the late evening. It will be fun to get the entire house for family stay

Was rather disappointed by the basic room though it was very clean and equipped with a nice TV and DvD player. Kelvin the owner was extremely helpful and charming and I really loved the area. The street is charming and just round the corner from the bus stop to town (only 25p) as well as the hawkers market, the sea and the smart Gurney Drive with 2 large malls including cinemas. A very interesting part of town where few Westerners seem to venture. Good value if you want somewhere simple and interesting
