The food is terrible. Poor variaty. Specialty restaurants are a joke they dont open every day plus when they open they dont take reservations you just have to line up (long line) and the variaty and quality of the food is not the best either.... very poor hotel. In addition if you are traveling with kids there is nothing for them very booring.

A beautiful quiet location, we were able to relax which was the purpose of our trip. Staff were amazing, friendly and did everything they could for you. Pools were kept clean and plenty of loungers there and on the beach. Only negative is price of taxis to get anywhere but that is no reflection on the hotel. Would highly recommend

Me and my wife went here on our honeymoon. We had to wait 6 hours to check in despite paying over 2000 pounds for our stay. The house keeping was terrible they didn’t change the sheets and they still had stains on them. The food was good but not amazing considering the price of admission. The store was very expensive as they were charging 55 euros for a generic blouse. The staff said all the meat was halal despite the hotel serving pork. The pork one day was also next to the chips. I will not be staying here again there are far better options in Mauritius. Please do not waste your money and come here. This trip had severe negative impact on my honeymoon.

Spectacular beach paradise run with the precision of a Swiss watch by Giorgio, Johan, Daniel and Melonie. Property is brand new, every kind of food you can imagine, truly all inclusive including alcohol and service always with a smile.

The facilities are 5 star, the decor, the lounge areas and the pools were all very good. We were all inclusive, the drinks were good quality and varied with a 24 hour bar. Room was clean and beds comfortable, if you wished they would clean it every day. Entertainment every night in a lively setting with always space to sit. Food was a bit hit and miss for us. We found the main buffet good for breakfast but not to our liking for lunch and dinner. Having said that the steakhouse and Indian restaurant make up for this as the food there is delicious. The only downside is its first come first served which means you have to queue an hour before it opens, which to be honest is not really that bad but a bit of an inconvenience. Overall really enjoyed our stay, staff and facilities are amazing.

Splendida spiaggia per prendere il sole ma il mare antistante non era invitante. Dovevamo andare a fare il bagno davanti al Marriot. Hotel molto bello e cibo buono ma la posizione è un po’ lontana da tutto quindi gli spostamenti in taxi sono risultati costosi. La responsabile Melanie molto gentile ed estremamente professionale

Einfach super-gerade mit Kindern!

Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, jedoch waren wir mit dem Essen nicht ganz zufrieden, da es sehr viel indisches Essen gab - viele Speisen waren mit Curry gewürzt … besser wäre eine internationale Küche - ansonsten war der Aufenthalt super - Zimmer sehr sauber - Personal sehr nett

Definitely a top hotel. Few comments. To give extra information for future guests about small downsides. No hot drinks at lunch and dinner. (It is possible in the various bars), breakfast we found open late 07h30. And yet quite a bit of construction debris (concrete blocks) on the beach and sunbed)

If one word could describe our stay here… amazing! Only thing that would have made the experience better would be an omelette station, but I’m being picky. The buffet was excellent. Staff were very friendly, and always accommodating. And the two staff members who organised the group activities were so fun. The kids loved the small dance/ concerts at the end of the night and it was a great way for them to burn energy!

Excellent service at buffet and restaurant. Very bad service at reception . Air conditioning didn’t work and it took 3 days to get a new room. Very hard to get a reservation , since there are only 2 restaurants.

What we liked - bedrooms were modern and clean. Plenty of sunbeds around the two pools and on the beach. Food was OK with plenty of choice - the specialist restaurants were very good. Staff very friendly and gave excellent service. South of the island was pretty. What we did not like - WiFi kept dropping out and did not work in our room for 2 of the 7 days. Evening entertainment we felt was poor. Only had low calorie coke drink - would have liked more low calorie soft drinks. Felt underneath the sunbeds could have been cleaned at least every other day.

Séjour en couple du 5 au 18/11/24. La prestation de l’hôtel était excellente dès notre arrivée ; le personnel est au petit soin et très agréable. Ils veillent constamment à ce que les espaces restent propres. Concernant les différents repas, c’est très varié et l’hôtel propose même deux restaurants à thème mais il faut réserver via l’App RIU et ce, 48h à l’avance (c’est d’ailleurs plutôt difficile d’avoir des places mais nous avons pu tester les deux restaurants durant notre séjour). Les piscines sont relativement chaudes sous le soleil (petit pour le bar dans l’eau) et le vent ne nous a absolument pas gêné, il est plutôt agréable à cette période. Les nombreux transats permettent de choisir son emplacement et même de changer durant la journée. De nombreuses animations sont proposées même le soir et c’est très bien isolé, aucune nuisance sonore n’était audible en dehors de cet espace dédié (zone avec bar et scène). L’hôtel dispose d’un bar ouvert 24/7 avec des en-cas. Je recommande l’hôtel et nous reviendrons très certainement avec nos deux enfants car l’infrastructure permet notamment aux plus jeunes de s’amuser (espace « Aqualand »).

The overall stay was ok at best; Riu has dine in restaurants that guests can book through the app, however, it is impossible to book any; we stayed for a whole week and couldn’t get not 1 reservation for either restaurants, and front desk was no help in regards to that issue as well; another issue was the food, ok at best, however lacks variety, it was almost the same thing every night, and the cocktails were pretty subpar; last but not least we were damn near harassed to check out, I don’t know if this is a general practice, but a phone call to the room would’ve sufficed at notifying us about the check out time ( which we abided by) and not 2 consecutive in person notifications. All in all Mauritius was wonderful but Riu made the experience subpar.

Riu turquoise is a beautiful hotel, the rooms look like the pictures. The all inclusive food is quite tasty and there is a lot of choice. The swimming pools are clean and warm. The beach area is beautiful, the water is green/blue. The staff are very friendly, lots of activities and entertainment for children and adults The location can be quite windy, which makes it a good spot for water sports. The cleaning of the rooms is not amazing. The standard is quite bad, no bleach was used and the mopped floors still left hairs and a horrible damp smell. There was no flexiblility regarding check in and out time. Usually we pay extra to have access to the room until departure due to us having young children.
