Great staff, the So Sofitel brand is consistently good, oh and no late check out charge, always a nice touch not to feel 'fleeced' when the room is most likely unoccupied until long after we"ve left.

Fantastic hotel in every way. Except that we had a major problem with out toilet (did not function - aka bad luck, can happen everywhere) and problem with the towel deliveries…

Service an der Rezeption, im Housekeeping und im Restaurant war richtig schlecht. Teilweise 45 Minuten auf Getränke beim Frühstück gewartet. Sauberkeit war auch nicht dem Standard von einem Sofitel entsprechend. Handtücher waren dreckig. Die Mitarbeiter wirkten faul und lustlos. Essen war in Ordnung, nichts besonderes.

On the positive side: it is nicely located next to a nice beach with calm water. Big pool that overlooks the beach. Staff is nice and professional. On the negative side,The hotel is a bit dated. And the common area could be maintained better. Rooms could need a freshen up. We had electric issues, phone didn’t work, WiFi was super weak, to name a few things. There is also a lot of mosquitoes and the buggy service that you rely on to get around is very slow, leaving you waiting for a long time every time. Not value for money in my opinion.

We were quite disappointed upon our arrival at SO Sofitel Bel Ombre. Although the official check-in time was 15:00, we were made to wait until 16:00 before being given access to our room. Bagage arrived after 17 15 and left with no battery as charger is in our luggage. To our dismay, when we finally entered the room, we discovered stained bed sheets and hair on the bed,an unacceptable level of cleanliness for a hotel of this calibre supposedly to be a 5 star hotel. The situation was further compounded by the fact that we had no internet connection and were forced to make multiple attempts to reach reception by phone. When someone eventually did answer, the staff member was dismissive and rude,a shocking first impression that set a negative tone for our stay. To add to our frustration, we found the minibar completely empty. Not even basic soft drinks were provided, despite our willingness to pay for them. This lack of attention to basic guest needs is truly surprising for a hotel under the Sofitel brand. We had expected a much higher standard in terms of cleanliness, efficiency, and hospitality. I sincerely hope serious steps will be taken to address these issues, both in service delivery and housekeeping standards. It’s unfortunate that such a poor experience upon arrival now risks being shared more widely, especially as we had chosen your hotel with high expectations. Traveller local and International. Good looking resort, poor pool, looks like a repurposed fountain rather than a pool to swim in. Some great staff and some very average, so service inconsistent. Best for couples who want to stay in a secluded part of the island with nothing happening in their resort.

Une expérience en contraste… Très bel environnement végétal, agréable plage déserte, ambiance « à l écart du monde ». Magnifique et grande chambre / villa décorée par Kenzo. Superbe piscine d un design très original. L hôtel a été par contre manifestement « downgradé » par rapport à l origine. Les défauts sont multiples. Peu de personnel présent au petit déjeuner / dîner à notre arrivée. Après échange avec le responsable, la situation s est améliorée. Le soir le seul choix possible est le buffet. Il est bon, mais ne pas proposer une alternative est anormal. La carte « alimentaire » du bar n a aucun intérêt. Il n y a aucune ambiance au bar. Le service de cet hôtel n est globalement pas à la hauteur de ce que l on attend. Déchets laissés par des clients sur la plage. Vous êtes obligés de les signaler. Idem pour lampe qui clignote au spa, serviettes abandonnées au hammam ou gel main au hammam toujours vide. Un hammam sur 2 fonctionne : Il est soit trop chaud , soit trop froid : aucune réparation entreprise. Une expérience détestable au spa sur un massage de niveau « 0 ». Je découvre au final que la masseuse n est pas une masseuse de l hôtel. Elle ne connait rien aux massages. C est une faute. Je constate au global que l hôtel est négligé. Le management est absent (sauf à la restauration, manager bienveillant). On voit que cet hôtel, qui a besoin d une rénovation, est en fin de vie. Accor semble avoir réduit de manière drastique les coûts au détriment du Client
