This place was excellent, exceeded my expectations. The receptionist was so kind and courteous. The hotel smelled clean, was clean and located in a fantastic spot. It is walking distance to the center and to the port. Only one drawback, does not have an elevator. This was no problem for me, but it would be for those who cannot climb stairs. It was comfortable and welcoming. Loved it. I will be back.

Llegamos al hotel y no tenían reservada nuestra habitación. Tuvimos que buscar otro hotel de emergencia, pues en Hotel Mesón del Mar no tenían habitaciones disponibles, y ni siquiera habían revisado su sistema de reservaciones hasta que llegamos a la recepción.

For the price we paid, this hotel was not good at all! Super noisy, dust and cobwebs, janky bathroom set up, sheets with some stain. Good location but come on please try harder.

Habitación sucia igual que el baño, olía mucho a humedad, no tienen elevador, mucho ruido, los pasillos oscuros, en la entrada del hotel había una alcantarilla quebrada. No la recomiendo para nada.
Muy caro para como está el lugar, no vuelvo a quedarme ahí.

The apartment was very nice in a colonial building within the city center. You can easily walk to the Malecon and iconic cafes. Unfortunately, the staff didn't speak English but was extremely friendly and helpful and we managed to communicate. Moreover, there is no free parking close to the hotel and if you come by car you have to park several blocks away and pay. Overall, the hotel was not in its best shape anymore but it is definitely worth staying in such an iconic place.
