Hotel Meson del Mar

Very kind and helping staff, clean and extremely quiet room.

The apartment was very nice in a colonial building within the city center. You can easily walk to the Malecon and iconic cafes. Unfortunately, the staff didn't speak English but was extremely friendly and helpful and we managed to communicate. Moreover, there is no free parking close to the hotel and if you come by car you have to park several blocks away and pay. Overall, the hotel was not in its best shape anymore but it is definitely worth staying in such an iconic place.

Perfect location 3 blocks from Malecon. Walking distance to the portales plaza area. Staff was friendly and willing to help. Any question or concerns we had were quickly addressed. There are areas to improve but take into consodation price reflects what you payed for.

I stayed here 3 years ago and just did again. It was a great location. Strong and stable internet, shower was perfect, and the air conditioner worked really well. It was hot and humid, so a cool room was appreciated. Bed comfortable! Staff was good, functional and present.

The hotel is located in the old city, so it is not a modern hotel. Noise levels from cars buses and hooters could be intrusive. At the price level and for the location it is a great hotel. The staff are supportive and relaxed. The rooms are clean and in functional state. it is a safe area to move around and most amenities are within walking distance.

The staff was very friendly

This is the first time I got to stay in this hotel, I'm very familiar with the area. the place is clean. We had a junior suite the first night was fine but the rest we could clearly hear conversations from the rooms next to us. so it's not soundproof. the supervisor or the person in charge of reservations and the front desk can be at times rude and unprofessional, the other receptionist was really friendly at all times. Overall not a bad hotel y would go back again since the location is great and easy access to transportation, museums, and bookstores.

The front desk person very helpful and flexible, let me stay for check out 30 minutes after time for us to take a tour.

Nice, decent stay, seems family owned so very courteous staff and accomodating. Place needs a few uogrades but ornthe price it was a wonderful place to stay.

Me gustó la hubicacion, cerca del malecon del mercado de artesanías, del zócalo, a pesar de estar en medio de la ciudad no tuvimos problemas con ruido de tráfico para dormir (estuvimos en el segundo piso) el personal fue muy amable y nos dejaron ver habitaciones en ambos pisos y aunque mi mamá (77anos) batallaba para subir escaleras, disfrutamos mucho la estancia.

Dirtiest hotel I’ve ever seen stains on all bed covers this hotel is on main road for public transportation so very noisy windows are full of gaps and dirty so is very noisy I paid for four nights ended stay for two There was an event that weekend couldn’t get any other hotel But as soon I found availability in my favorite hotel we moved and left the pile on a hurry Didn’t even asked for reimbursement for remainder of days I want to donate that for cleaning supplies they need them bad and lots of TLC

The building is beautiful but the staff is disappointing. We asked why the Wifi was not working and there only response was “ that’s weird”. We asked if we could watch TV but we couldn’t because the TV kept saying that the bill hadn’t been paid. We asked the staff about the TV and there only response was “we paid it and we don’t know why it doesn’t work”. We stayed there for 4 days and this was never addressed.

Great Hotel historical site, great service

Was my first time staying here and I love it my family was so happy the staff was on everything to make sure we have anything we need the hotel was just perfect for our vacation nothing fancy but beautiful place I will definitely come back to stay here again Nuestra primera vez aquí y nos gusto un hermoso lugar my familia estuvo feliz los empleados estaban en todo para hacegurarce que estuviéramos bien yo .... si regresaría a quedarme aquí el hotel perfecto para nuestras vacaciones .!! Solo con la atención que Noemí nos brindó cuando mi hermano amaneció enfermo de la comida de una noche ella llego a prepararnos un tea que alludo mucho a mi hermano para seguir con nuestras vacaciones mil estrellas para todos los de este hotel me gustaría nombrar a todas las que nos atendieron pero no me cuerdo de sus nombre pero unas bellas personas
