In general, I was satisfied with my stay in Baber Mahal Vilas. The manager was a nice guy, he showed me around the hotel, different types of rooms... etc. The tranditional decoration impressed me a lot, personally, the library is my favorite. And appreciate the time at the bar in the evening, the lady and the bartender made me the personalized cocktail, happy for that. The staffs are nice, they are trying to be helpful. At some of the moments, I have to say they are not professional enough. Of course, their serice is still leading in Nepal. Give some feedback in details: 1. The gym is very new, pls open the window and door more. The spa staffs will come to look but not being kind enough to say hello, which made me feel wired. 2. The next morning, the waitress I met for breakfast was not kind enough. She said no to me when I asked for having breakfast on 3rd floor. It was mentioned by their manager! Another male waiter said yes and made it happen. 3. The room is fine, a little bit dark. After all, it is from the special price about 100 US dollars. Their rooms about 200-300 US dollars will be much better. 4. I didn't spend time go around, have no idea about stuffs around. May figure out next time.

Private area , there are several restaurant and little boutique shop in back yard of the hotel. It's a nice getaway place

Excellent staff, good breakfast

The hotel was quiet since it was off season but everyone there was friendly and accommodating. It was a perfect respite from the hectic city.

Nice boutique hotel outside the hustle and bustle of the central district. Easy to and from airport and private car can be arranged. Very courteous and pleasant staff. Especially high marks for Menuka at the front desk who was extremely helpful and accommodating. Several food options available within the property itself including a French restaurant and next door great coffee and lunch at Cafe Himalaya Rooms were wel appointed with balconies. Hotel is filled with many artificers and artwork from the Maharaja era. Very cool. Room rates were also quite reasonable and daily breakfast was included. Also, had drinks at the K2 lounge, which were well crafted.

Every one was very courteous and helpful. The person in charge at breakfast was extremely polite and helpful. Gave us excellent service. This is an heritage hotel, older but full of characters. Highly recommended

This property was truly wonderful. We stayed there twice and loved it! The rooms were charming and they fit a lot into this hotel - even a pool and gym. Chez Caroline is attached - amazing French food, and they have a restaurant with authentic Nepalese Thali food and entertainment. They helped us with transportation, and everyone was always friendly and helpful. LOVED it. There are also a few stores attached, including cute gift shops, clothing shops, and a place for mani/pedis. We just loved our stay there and highly recommend it.

A rebuild of a family palace, it mirrors the European influences on Nepal. However, it is the staff who are helpful on all occasions that makes a stay truly magical

Nice place

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. It's a stunning collection of architecture from different periods in the history of Nepal. The staff were so helpful and friendly throughout, and the restaurants were excellent
