Good: location, very helpful staff, the owner was very helpful on planning my trips in Nepal and Bhutan, nice breakfast, spacious room, stable electricity and hot water supply. Bad: no daily room cleaning service unless request, some bearable noise from outside at night time, but this is a norm in the whole region, at least no pubs or bars around. Very memorable stay in general. Definitely will come back again.

Good area, nice room also good breakfast but the reception is in 2nd floor, breakfast area in 5th and there is No lift. Great people working there !

　部屋を予約していたが、何らかの理由でその部屋を確保できなかったらしい。そこで違う階に案内され、2部屋を見せてもらって、好みの部屋を選んでよいと言われた。その部屋は両方ともに満足できる部屋だった。 　朝食は屋上のレストランで優しいおじいさんが温かい料理を作ってくれて大変美味しかったです。 　空港までの送迎を予約していたが、チャータータクシーで移動することになったのでキャンセルを申し込んだところ快く受け入れてくれた。

After asking even multiple times, they didn't on the water heater. We had to take the shower in cold water in early morning at 5:30 AM. High level of unprofessional hotel staff. Strictly a no to this hotel

We had already done payment for Hotel room. But we got stuck in traffic jam while coming from Pokhara to Kathmandu. We(my family kid+ Parents) reached hotel at 8:00 PM in the rain and they said we don't have rooms for you. When told that we have already booked rooms and have the confirmation, he said he has not taken the payment and forgot to inform us. It was really embarrassing and panic situation for us. After requesting they said they are having single occupancy room. When asked for such unprofessional behavior with tourist he replied that Indian Hotels are no better than us. It was a horrible experience for us.

全体的に部屋は綺麗にされています。 フロントの方もとても親切でした。 英語も通じるし聞いたら色々教えてくれました。 とてもいい宿だと感じました。

Friendly and helpful staff. Well located and easy to find. Very dirty room and stained bedding. It’s a shame that the poor housekeeping ruined what could be a great hotel.

Excellent emplacement dans Thamel , lit confortable , excellent accueil , la chambre avait une odeur de cigarette , ce qui est désagréable pour un non-fumeur , et il n'y en avait pas d'autre disponible. Surtout très peu d'eau chaude, et à Katmandou en décembre , c'est froid. Nous avons donc déménage après une nuit. Le chauffe eau devait être réparé le lendemain , mais on a pas tenu à vérifier nous même

I spent three good nights in this hotel. The staff was exceptionally helpful. Umanga made great travel arrangements for me, both plane and VIP bus tickets. The hotel itself was clean and quiet with a really nice rooftop deck. There are lots of places nearby for food and shopping, including a pharmacy and grocery store. I’d definitely stay here again if in the area, especially given the reasonable price.

Pros: Price, Wi-Fi, breakfast, location, adequate service Cons: Water temperature did not hot enough in winter, blanket was too small (only covered a half of the bed). Over all, it was just fine for the price paid.

Location excellent, "Shiam the Breakfast Man" was first class & an asset to the guest house. Thoughroughly recommend a stay.

Comfortable, clean room in a good location in Thamel - everyone you can ask for given the price. Would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Kathmandu.

We stayed for 5 nights and overall experience was nice for the price. It could be cleaner though, specially the bathroom. They removed one of the towels every time they cleaned the room (that wasn't every day - leave your key at the reception in the morning when you leave and ask them to clean the room, otherwise they won't do it). The guys at the reception are helpful. The hotel is located in Thamel but out of the crazy/noisy area so it's pretty quiet at night. The A/C is actually a fan on the wall but it did the job (we went in late October).
