Nice and quiet hotel.

It is a quite and beautiful place. The breakfast is simple but good.

This B&B is a small manor, sitting on a pastoral hill in the outskirt of Mosgiel. It even herds some sheep. Driving from Dunedin took about 15 minutes. Our host, John, is friendly and communicative. Our room was roomy and comfortable. Recommended!

We have a good time and experience of Farm Hotel. Clean, comfortable, relax and the owners Barbara and John are very nice, strongly recommend.

The owner John was very personable and knowledgeable and gave advice about more travel. Feeding the alpacas and sheep was a unique experience. The sunset was beautiful and peaceful. Did not book breakfast but owner was accommodating and flexible and added it. Good continental breakfast, good choices. Liked the heated towel rung in bathroom.

John, the owner, is incredibly friendly and accommodating—he even allowed me extra time to finish work without any additional cost. The breakfast was delightful, the room spacious, and the views were simply amazing. Service was exceptional from start to finish. My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our two nights here during our trip to New Zealand. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Dunedin! Thank you, John, for making our stay memorable!

Love the hospitality - great farmstay overall

農園ハウスですが、設備は新しく素晴らしい。到着後に一番広い部屋にアップグレードしたが、大正解でした。窓の外の斜面にはアルパカや羊がのんびりと草を喰んでいる。とても贅沢な環境でした。

Nice and quiet stay

Tucked away. This is a must if you want somewhere close to the city but not too far away. Make sure you remind John if you have paid for breakfast.

We loved the relaxed feel of Hunter's moon, friendly staff, and would recommend staying here for a nice break away

The view from the patio is beautiful. Songbirds, sheep and lamas. Definitely recommend staying here if you have access to a vehicle.

Stayed one night and had a great experience! Due to delays in our travel schedule we had to check-in late and were unable to contact the property regarding this. We arrived with an envelope addressed to myself with all the information needed! The room was large, very clean and the hospitality was amazing! The next morning we had the opportunity to speak with the owner and help feed their sheep and alpacas! I would strongly recommend staying at Hunters Moon and if I ever return I will stay here again

Great experience

We have been staying in some 4 star hotels on our travels and Hunter’s Moon is by far our favorite place to stay in New Zealand. Love the location and John made us feel so welcome.

The place was perfect. We had everything we could want and John our host was the best. We enjoyed talking to him very much. This place gets my highest recommendation.

We had room four, which is very spacious. The parking is a tad tight, but manageable. John, who owns the place, is absolutely delightful! Very kind and open. And my personal highlight was joining him in the morning to handfeed the sheep and alpacas.
