In summary one of the poorest hotel quality I can get for the last 10 years. We booked the deluxe twin bed room for 3 nights in Bergen. Whilst it says deluxe it’s actually two tiny beds which is surely not a standard single bed. We picked the hotel due to its location but actually there are plenty of better choices. First of all we took over 20 hours to get to Bergen and desperate for a good rest. We were woke up by heavy rock music at 2am in the morning. Then the music lasted till around 4 am and then we can only sleep after this. The hotel staff said this is nothing they can do for the music from the night clubs ! Then we went out on the following morning and came back to the hotel at around 4pm as we were also tired due to jet leg. So surprised when we opened the door that the room has not been cleaned at 4pm! Then the room is strange that sometimes there is no electricity for certain lights and the ventilation. We asked the hotel staff if this is part of the environmental friendly policies. The answer is no and he can’t figure out why this is the case. Bergan is a very pretty place and have lots to see. My advice is not to stay in this hotel if you want to have a peaceful and comfortable trip.

The hotel is big with lots of rooms but the rooms are arranged in a way that there are lots of corridors and it may be difficult to locate a room. Rooms are clean and stylish, with reasonable space in this expensive city. Room facilities are also good. However, staff if the reception is not helpful. We asked for their help to call taxi to go to airport on our date of departure but he seemed not willing to do so. Although he agreed to call taxi for us, we eventually waited for half an hour with no taxi coming. The staff was not willing to help us follow up with the taxi company even on our repeated requests. We eventually need to find taxi on the street on our own. Service is a big issue.

Utrolig fint hotell, men det var litt vanskelig å finne inngangen blant alle restaurantene i bygget. Vi var kjempefornøyd med rommet. Det var rent og praktisk med super utsikt. Det beste var sengen - helt utrolig god.

Ikke verdt prisen og mye støy.

Nice stay at a nice and newly renovated hotell. Small room, but adequate. Good bed and nice bathroom. Lighting in bathroom could be better. Nice staff and cleaners.

Hadde ikke tømt bosset på badet. Var litt ekkelt det.

Our flight was cancelled, we arrived the next day and even though we had sent someone early in the morning to let staff know we were arriving later, when we got there we were told that our PRE-PAID room was given. I would have expected at least a phone call before this happening. We had to stay in another room and move to the room we had booked the following day, with two kids. We were not offered anything for this. When we finally had a room (on the first day) at 10:00pm (!) (we had to wait for them to find us something since 7:00pm when we got there) the kids' bed was not even made! We had to call reception and wait for someone to come. There was also a hospitality strike and breakfast was poor, not even eggs. No warning about this either even though our breakfast was prepaid as well.

Fantastisk hyggelig hotell med god beliggenhet. Vi hadde denne gang et rom i 9 etasje med balkong.

The breakfast was very disappointing. The strike by hotel and restaurant workers had an obvious impact on the breakfast experience;though we only found out on arrival, when at reception we were told that no hot food would be on offer.This was a major problem for my wife who has significant blood-sugar problems. The choice of low sugar foods was woeful with only two choices of fruit, both not classed as low sugar. The choice of cereals and pastries did not compensate for the lack low sugar staples such as egg, beans and bacon. There was no sign of any diabetic food nor any labelling of sugar content on what was available. The room was not serviced for the week we were there but fresh towel were provided on request. The staff were friendly and helpful. At no time were we offered any form of compensation for the inconvenience and significant reduction in the level of service we had expected from this status of hotel. ( I assume an expected reduction in the cost to Expedia will be passed on to us.)

Rooms were clean and rather dark which we didn’t hate. Very cosy. Sadly, biggest let down was the breakfast. Yes, there is a nation wide strike (and had been for 4 weeks already) but on constitution day we would have expected way more. Instead only very simple spread of breads, generic cheeses and meats and watery scramble eggs (no other option). Very disappointing and neither worth the price nor up to the self proclaimed “award winning” standard we were kind to enjoy. Again, we understand the circumstances but for that the prices should have been adjusted. Full price at half the service leaves a faul aftertaste to an otherwise nice stay.

Dust around bed area not properly cleaned. Abit disappointed breakfast not included for that price, but we slept late anyway :-) Nice staff and was very helpful with check-in

We unfortunately were staying here during a nationwide strike, which meant no housekeeping and limited food options for breakfast. We were however upgraded to a large room for our troubles and the staff was super accommodating. Great location!

Unfortunately a strike was on at the hotels in Norway. Remains Staff did a wonderful job to keep the hotel operating a reduced capability. Breakfast offering greatly reduced with only very small reduction in cost. No room cleaning during our stay but no reduction in room rates. Again great job by staff but hotel could have more appropriately reduced costs to customers based upon reduced offering
