This is a really lovely hotel. You can see it easily if you arrive on the airport light railway and the location is excellent for exploring Bergen. Check in was a little slow, but the staff were very helpful and the hotel looked amazing decorated for christmas. I paid for an upgrade directly with the hotel and had a great Grande View room over the Christmas Market. We had planned to have a quiet drink in the bar the saturday night, but there seemed to be a private event on and we couldnt find anywhere to go. Possibly a small bar area for hotel guests might be a suggestion?. Breakfast was incredible. Such a huge selection. We used the pool and spa on our final day which was lovely. A late checkout was reasonable at £40. Overall, we loved our time at the Hotel Norge and would definately return.

Hotel was wonderful! We were able to walk to all activities and the staff was friendly. We stayed here twice during our stay in Norway. The spa was wonderful and definitely worth the fee- perfect for tired travelers.

Staff were excellent. Only feedback would be to let guests know about the breakfast time change as we arrived at 10am and were told we had missed the buffet. Staff were very helpful though and provided a plate for us.

Pros: Excellent location, comfortable, plenty of space in the room, clean. All the things you look for in a nice hotel. Would stay here again and recommend it to friends. Only con: Like most other hotels we stayed at in Scandinavia, you can't control the A/C yourself. We generally solved this issue by opening the windows at night, but if you are a warm sleeper this is something to consider. It was not abnormally warm in the room so it was fine (especially with windows open in Sept), but if it's very important to you to sleep with the room very cold you may need to compromise a bit.

Hotel is seriously understaffed although staff lovely. Always a wait at reception and the spa was unattended at times as one lady tries to do everything. First nights sleep awful as on noisy side of hotel. Room so tiny there wasn’t enough floor space to open suitcase. Second room quieter and slightly bigger. Booked the spa expecting there to be treatments available. It’s just a pool, sauna and steam. Not really worth the money altho breakfast (paid extra) was excellent.

I booked a Lake View room, but there was absolutely no lake view—it was completely misleading. On top of that, the room didn’t have robes, and when I asked the front desk, they insisted they didn’t have any. Expedia was very helpful and understanding when I reached out, but the hotel itself offered no explanation or apology. After I pressed the issue again the next day, they eventually provided a robe, only to take it away the following morning. When I asked about it, they told me I could buy one, which was both unprofessional and inappropriate. Our 3-night stay was incredibly disappointing, and the lack of basic customer service only made it worse. I will never return to this property and cannot recommend it to anyone.
