I have stayed at the Fairmont Makati numerous times over the past 5-6 years and have never been disappointed. The staff is amazing (special thanks to Kat and Jamie during my last stay 7/11/26-7/14/26), and there is a stress-free ease of navigating around the hotel (lounge, restaurants, spa). The food (recognizing numerous preferences including healthy, vegan, international) and cocktails are excellent. The room is spacious, luxurious and very comfortable, further defining what a 5-star luxury hotel should be. Whenever I visit Manila, this is the only hotel I choose due to its unwavering quality and service.

The staff were extremely nice and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. However, there were very loud construction noise coming from upstairs, which was quite troublesome. We did not file a complain because it happened on the last day of our stay, hours before we were checking out. I wish they would have at least inform us before hand.

I was upgraded to an Executive Suite and absolutely loved it. The hardwood floors were a highlight—they reminded me of the ones I have at home and were so comfortable to walk on barefoot. One thing I noticed was that the French-door refrigerator in the kitchen could be a bit loud at night, but simply closing the bedroom door completely solved the issue. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

Plus: Excellent location- close to shops and restaurants and the airport. Excellent staff, very helpful Minus: Hallways to the rooms were dark and smelled a bit musty- needs updating. Breakfast buffet at the Spectrum was not as good as the Penn, New World, Dusit, Shang- limited choices but the service was excellent

The rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff are outstanding, especially at the bar, and therapists in the spa (massage therapist Arlene). My reason for 4 star instead of 5 is that there is a dampness and musty smell in the rooms (not in the main areas). This is likely from the extreme heat, combined with carpeted interiors. I experienced this in the two rooms we occupied (May 17-19 and May 23-27).
