Very sterile corridors without any artwork. No air circulation in corridors. Noisy streets but service ok and breakfast food. Easy checkin and checkout

Have stayed many times and it's always a good experience.

The town felt old snd the hotel matched it well

Great location

Clean and comfortable rooms. Great location by the marina within easy walking distance of the cathedral, restaurants, and the meeting place for boat tours. The breakfast staff were excellent particularly the lady who acted as host in the morning. My husband has mobility issues and she was so kind and caring. My only complaint is that the front desk staff could not call a doctor for my husband when he got pneumonia. They just said go to the hospital without offering to call a taxi or anything like that. In Seville, Madeira and Lisbon, the hotels all offered to call a doctor to the hotel.

Great central location, staff amazing, only downside is when rooms are cleaned, between 3-5pm, ours was not cleaned till 5pm.

Our 2nd time staying at the Hotel Faro, and our stay was just as good! Location is great, and the service and staff are top notch - so friendly and professional. The rooftop bar and restaurant is amazing, and the breakfast buffet is probably one of the best buffets I’ve had. Highly recommend the Hotel Faro for a first class stay.

The best think about the Faro Hotel and beach club was it's location.. Just on the edge of Old Town across the street from the marina on the main circle in that area. There seemed to be some language challenges and the gentleman at the front desk was a challenge. We arrived at 12:45p after traveling 18 hrs at the hotel and this clerk seemed insulted that we arrived early. He was not helpful with directions to the WC which resulted in me being locked out from the hotels side door Brevard you had to go out the back of the building then into another party of the building. There were few signs finding it and no sign showing how to get back. I did not tell him of this experience then I asked for directions to parking twice and his directions were only clear to him though all I had to do was make a right turn around the building and follow a white P on a blue sign. He seemed offended when I asked a second time.. Then I asked about what to do with the luggage and his answer surprised me.. No Offer to have my luggage tagger from our car but he told us we could bring it in our better yet leave it in the car as the garage was safe.. Imagine this as a beginning to our stay at a 4 Star hotel.. He also suggested we leave so we decided to ask for food recommendations to buy some time.. No suggestions just to go across the street.. Returned at 1:30p after a brief bite to eat and his remark from across the lobby Nothing yet I said I would call if it was ready sooner.. More info later

Rooms were very comfortable and good for a short break. Rooftop bar and restaurant was amazing, with very good choice for breakfast. We didnt have dinner as a set menu with only 3 choices per course. Reception staff were all very attentive and helped us with advice, taxis and bus timetables

Brilliant service

Great location and views from roof terrace and the room. Breakfast buffet was fresh, lots of choice. Staff were amazing and noticed that one of our party had a Birthday the day of our check in and arranged a lovely surprise of a bottle of Sparkling to be brought to the room. This made an already lovely stay even more special.

Fourth stay in Faro, first at Faro beach club certainly won't be the last Couldn't fault anything Comfortable bed, robes, slippers and toiletries Seamless check in and out Amazing roof top terrace and restaurant with fabulous views

It has to be said that the location, friendliness of the reception staff and breakfast in this hotel were great. The views from the 4th floor restaurant are amazing and look out over the Faro Marina. It's a short walk from here to the Train Station. Unfortunately the Rooftop Pool as pictured and selling this hotel was closed during my trip which may have changed my mind if known in advance ! Eco Friendly, I don't normally require my room to be cleaned during a weekend trip so simply telling the cleaners is a good idea and asking for anything needed. The Coffee machines at breakfast have paper wrapped wooden stirrers so only usable once creating waste. If they use metal cutlery then metal spoons would remove this issue. I did report some damp / mould issues in the corner of my bathroom. A lot to do with the rooftop pool but certainly needs attention. Would I choose this hotel again, YES I would based on location, service and the breakfast buffet.
