The room was spacious very clean and shower was boiling very enjoyable. The dining was nice the food was excellent and the menu was great

Booked The 19th Hole whilst visiting friends in the area. Room was clean and most of the staff friendly. Has free parking to the rear of the hotel and is within walking distance to the promenade/seafront area of Carnoustie. On my night of arrival (friday) I noticed a guest being served steak pie at approx 8pm....enquired with a member of the bar staff could I order food and they advised no as the kitchen was now closed.....even though another member of staff had just that minute brought out steak pie for another guest in the hotel..... I ended up staying over an extra night and again booked my stay through Expedia and paid expedia on my debit card for the extra night as i get a discount with my blue light card. On check out I met "Linda" who advised me she had just returned from holiday. I advised I just wanted to check out. Linda advised they had not received payment for my extra nights stay....i advised i had booked with Expedia and that they would receive the payment from them in due course ....I even displayed my bank acc statement to them. A few days later Linda took an unauthorised payment from my debit card instead of chasing Expedia!..so i had then paid twice for the room! I ended up having to go to Expedia to explain what Linda had done. They apologised and refunded me my money. Terrible customer service from Linda and absolutely disgusting way to treat paying customers! I wont be back for that reason, avoid this hotel

Nice room with great pub an food.

Warm friendly reception. Clean and tidy room with comfortable bed and linens. Great pub with excellent food. The staff is full of wonderful warm Scottish people.

Disappointed that Expedia would be rating this hotel as they did . Never booked in , no reception … just a note to find someone in the bar … who was alone and couldn’t help . No more than a local drinking spot . Unacceptable . Noisy, smelly. Still await request for refund almost a week later.

Great hotel and close to the Golf course

Used this hotel a number of times as it is the best small independent hotel in the area. Will use it again.

Was taken across the road and into a converted house and the out the back garden where the room was a small extension with a door straight into the garden. Not great and won’t be back even if cheaper

Great Hotel, clean, comfortable bed. Good location. Busy bar at the weekend we there there, but did not disturb the room. Nice walk along seafront & golf courses near by.

Comfy bed, great shower and bath, Bathrobe, hairdryer attachments and affordable mini bar and toiletries supplied. Lovely pub with a games room lounge. In a central location. Staff helpful and friendly !

Absolutely disgraceful experience at the 19th Hole Hotel. When we arrived, there was literally no one at reception. We had to go hunting around the building like idiots just to find someone to check us in. As if that wasn’t bad enough, after leaving I discovered they had stolen £52 from my bank account for “mini bar usage” that I NEVER touched. This is blatant theft. The lack of service, the incompetence, and the dishonesty are shocking. I will never set foot in this place again and I strongly warn everyone else to stay far, far away.
