Amazing location, way beyond my expectations!!! However I don’t think I’ll live at the top bunk cuz every time I wanna go down it will take some courage…
Another thing is that they will need to use passcode and sometimes I can get lost when I first came here.
So clean, the restroom just so impressive, quite spacious and they clean it every single day. very affordable, definitely recommend.

This is the second time I live here. This time my room is next to an alley that you can hear people talking outside. It is a bit noisy compare to my first stay. The good side is the room and bathroom are still clean. A nice place to stay with a resonable price.

The location is perfect, it is in the city centre.
Room and washroom are clear. Shower water is hot enough. Pillow is too soft for me. Remember to bring your own towel.

Really enjoyed our stay there. Unfortunately the lift was out of order but the staff were really helpful in bringing our cases up and down the stairs! Staff were friendly. Atmosphere was great. Would definitely stay there again and have recommended it to other friends and family. Interesting historical background too.

I’ve stayed at a few hostels in Edinburgh but this was the best one by far! The staff and guests were all friendly and welcoming. If you’re traveling alone or with at least one other person, I’d recommend staying here. It’s close to all of the touristy destinations and Waverley Station!

Be careful about leaving your personal belongings in the lockers. The locker assigned to me was already occupied, so I used another one. I did not have any problems at first, but on day two, I got to the room and found that my belongings, including personal documents and cash, had been removed and left unattended outside the locker. I was very disappointed, as there was no notification and no effort made to keep my items secure.

Amazing place would recommend it every single time to solo travelers or those who want to be perfectly middle of the city.
The only recommendation I would have is install fans in each one of the pods to keep it cool you can’t get quite warm. Also think about changing out the cloth shears at the end of the pods and putting roller more sturdy closings on each one of the pods.

My stay here was great! The pods were clean and having a locker and peg was so helpful. There was also luggage storage which I used and the bathrooms were lovely and clean. The pod was a bit hot but I could borrow a fan so that helped a lot. I had porridge and a hot chocolate for breakfast, both of which were delicious! I didn’t make use of any of the activities, but there seemed to be plenty of options for solo travellers. Very near the train station (you’ll need to walk up a hill/steps) and the castle. I really enjoyed my stay here, thank you!!
