Clean room and very quiet place It’s quite hard to call uber as it’s far from the central Edinburgh.

Nice and clean

Staff friendly, room clean and tidy. Only downside was having to run the shower fir 10 minutes to get hot water.

Had a great and comfortable stay

Petit dej avec une proposition très limitée. Café filtre, jus d'orange pas frais et sans goût. Saucisses pas appétissantes avec l'aspect de pain mouiller. Pour ce qui est de la nuit, la litterie et coussins sont tres bien cependant peu voire pas d'isolation accoustique. L'on a entendu les voitures ainsi que le groupe de ventilation toute la nuit. Egalement tous les passages des autres clients ainsi que leurs conversations. Lorsque vous etes dans le couloir vous entendez l'eau de la douche de la personne dans la chambre... Bref ! Suffisant pour 1 nuit a condition d'avoir le sommeil lourd.

Not happy stay at Hill Park hotel . The owner's unfriendly demeanor set the tone for our stay. Staff seemed micromanaged, making it hard to feel at ease. Simple requests (plates, water, extra blanket) were met with resistance or required multiple asks. Never felt comfortable, unfortunately. Might not return due to the vibe."

Good sized room, clean and had everything needed. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Well situated for local pubs and restaurants. There was occasional noise a couple of time late into the evening and early morning from the building behind but generally quiet. Easy parking.

when we arrived for our 2 night stay no one at reception, choices at breakfast buffet mostly empty both mornings we stayed {and we were not late}, ie basics like butter, milk, juices, bread, fruit, all empty ,we had no order taken for a cooked breakfast ,some people got up and left after waiting to long for their cooked breakfast, tables were not cleaned after use, I have spent lifetime in Catering and they need more staff on at breakfast {only seemed to be 1 young chap}no disrespect to him but need more experienced people on and the reception situation is quite frankly ridiculous, no body around at anytime of day, I stayed there with previous owners and everything was of a decent standard ,the current owners are new to hotel ownership I gather but they certainly need to put more staff on and to put more effort into their customer satisfaction especially breakfast time because if they do not they will struggle to get guests retuning and will not be Hotel owners for very long in my opinion, it was a Scotland Rugby weekend and busy but Im pretty sure none of the guests there that morning will return

Freshly cooked breakfast good, and catered for gluten allergies. Ideally located for visiting relatives.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and had breakfast there each morning. The price for the stay was very good compared to Edinburgh prices. The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly. The rooms were clean, and it’s a great base for trips to Edinburgh because you can get there by Ember bus for just £4 (December 2025). I definitely recommend it and would stay again if I have the chance.

The room was clean and comfortable.. and an excellent price. The restaurant was closed due to the chef being ill, but there was a fantastic Chippy next door that had everything including pizza and kebabs.. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Great value stay. Room very clean, bright and warm. Bathroom looked newly fitted. Shower water pressure not the best. Bed firm and comfortable. Hotel in quiet residential area. Receptionist was very friendly, chatty and down to earth! Breakfast was help yourself to cereals, yoghurt, fruit, fruit juice, tea, coffee and toast. You can order a cooked breakfast at your table. Large car park, but remember to register at reception on check in. Key card required to enter bedroom areas. Hotel has a bar and restaurant but we didn't use them.
